Stock 20'' Chrome Toyota rims. I don't have the truck anymore so I can't remember the exact size but I believe the tires were a 305/55/20. They were ProComp Xtreme All-Terrains. A really good tire with long life and exceptional on and off road capability. They were on the truck when I purchased it but I believe the price for the tires and rim package was around $1800? or maybe it was $1600? I can't recall correctly but I know it was over a grand for sure.
Technically, other trucks are modeled after the Tundra in ways. Take for instance the tranni. Toyota was the first with a 6 speed. Toyota was first with A dohc 32 valve engine, ect. ect.
hey man, I was wondering if it is legal. I understand state regulations are different, but i love that sound. I should be getting an 08 in july and wanted to change out the exhaust. I wanted to make sure it isnt too loud.
Just depends on the state. Some states require that you have mufflers on because of noise ordinance. Others have laws banning the removal of catalytic converters. Mississippi is pretty relaxed on those laws and most places you go to to get an inspection sticker don't even bother checking the vehicle. They just slap a sticker on the window and accept their payment happily. If you live in California for example, don't even waste your time getting this setup. It won't pass inspection.
hey their, i have a 07 tundra with magna flow exhaust, i didnt delete any cats though. Since im not very familiar with cars i wanted to ask what exactly is the outcome of deleting the 2rear cats ? or what do you suggest i do for a depper growl sound and add a lil more hp? thanks! .. also what exactly are hi performance cats? ive read many people delete the two rear and replace the fron ones with those.
Deleting the secondary cats wont damage anything. It will give the truck a more aggressive sound and add a little more horsepower. Is your exhaust true dual or does it just a single magnaflow muffler in place of the stock muffler? Going true dual with a set of magnaflows or flowmasters and deleting the secondary cats will give the truck a much louder exhaust rather than just one muffler with a single exit out the rear. A cold air intake on this truck makes a big difference too.
@jcrow00 hey their bud, yea i have the true dual i beleive and also a cai and just added the tbs, now my jbas are on their way but i simply wanted to know about that delete cat back i never really understood what that meant. Also i was told i can also switch the two front cats wit magna flow something lol i forgot what it was called and that would also help
You can change out the stock cats to Magnaflow High Flow Converters, but you have to make sure you get the right ones. If your getting JBA Headers then I highly recommend not deleting your secondary cats. Just change out all 4 of the stock cats to the Magnaflow High Flow Cats. That will help the engine breathe better and still keep enough back pressure on the motor to keep your horsepower/torque where it needs to be.
@jcrow00 ok cool thanks a lot! do you know roughly how much itll be to swith them to high flow converters? and today they deleted the 2back cats but i dnt like the sound or feel of it so im going to look into what you said, plus they had my truck for a lil. over 4hrs and couldnt put the headers according to them the smog pump was on the way
so tommorow im going to look for an installer thanks for everything
I would go with a single 18 or 22 inch glasspack. A good brand to use would be either IMCO or try a dynomax race bullet glasspack. You can get them off of summit racing.com.
Thanks for the response to my question. You have inspired me to dual my truck out. I have made a couple of video's if you get bored. I just had them put flowmaster cats on, then 3" pipes the rest of the way out with 3.5" tips firing out Texas style. Again, thanks for the inspiration . . . .
Your truck sounds as good as any I have heard. Is it true that if you eliminate the mufflers all together and just go catback, it can rob you of power? Awesome video....
@biglhot75 Depends on the type of truck and how many catalytic converters you have. My truck had 4 converters and I deleted the muffler and went duals angled out the rear and it didn't lose any power. I then cut the rear converters off and kept it true duals with no mufflers and then I could feel a difference. Not only was it ungodly loud but it also lost a lot of low end power and torque. I put these IMCO glasspacks on and had it that way ever since and the power is back and sounds mean =)
@jcrow00 thanks, im getting an 89 bronco with a 4 inch lift as my first car and i dont want my car too loud because my towns cops are assholes. but i dont want my bronco to sound like a pussy... what brand would u recommend?
@neekhaiz If your bronco has the 5.8 Liter (351 Windsor/Cleveland/Modified) engine, then I would recommend Dynomax Bullet Race Mufflers. They are a racing type of glasspack and sound pretty fuckin mean. For that motor I would choose an 18 inch model. If you want it to sound really good but not over aggressive then cut your catalytic converters off and have a 24 or 26 inch glassspack set up.
@Dubflav LMAO!!! As if you would know what good exhaust sounds like. STFU stupid fuckin nigger and go worry about your flowmasters on your fuckin piece of shit cadillac.
What size rims and tires do you have on there?

sounds sick..... how do you think my 08 tundra would sound with a single 12inch glasspack??? y pipe??
valeriano18 1 year ago
@valeriano18
It would probably sound good. No where near as loud as this though. Running the true dual setup is what gives it that loud burrble sound.

@jcrow00 yeah yours is pretty damn loud!! i just want a nice deep growl when i punch it!!

neekhaiz 1 year ago
@neekhaiz 8 inches is the loudest size and they range all the way up to 34 inches...it also depends on what name brand glasspack you use too.
