Conahan made judicial rulings at the early stage of Cuadra's prosecution including assgning the Luzerne County Public Defender as Cuadra's lawyer. Attorney Al Flora, Jr of the Luzerne County Public Defender's Office now represents Tainted Judge Mark Ciavarella. Flora also represennted Bryan Kocis' estate and Kocis' relatives.

Harlow Cuadra's lawyers appear to have simply conceded that Kocis was killed the day his body was found.
The Luzerne County DA asked Judge Peter Olszewski to PREVENT Harlow Cuadra from referring to Bryan Kocis' 2002 Guilty Plea.
Kocis' Guilty Plea was ALTERED in 2006 by the DA and Corrupt Judge Michael Conahan to justify Kocis not having registered as a Sex Offender under Megans Law.
Our position is that the Luzerne County DA should have recused itself from prosecuting Cuadra and Joseph Kerekes because of the part the DA played in ALTERING Kocis' Guilty Plea.
We are waiting to see if the order on PREVENTING references to Kocis' Guilty Plea will now be UNSEALED.
A review of your information makes clear that Mr. Cuadra may move to recuse the District Attorney's Office if he feels that there is a conflict of interest. The fact, however, that the District Attorney may have found legal merit in a motion to correct the record, does not in itself create a conflict of interest. It is well within Mr. Cuadra's power to fully litigate this issue at his trial. For that reason, the U.S. Department of Justice declines to intervene.
The conflict of interest of the DA was clearly NOT litigated at Cuadra's trial. We suspect Cuadra was prevented from doing so by an order from Judge Olszewski
