ok so iran says it was from pakistan and its neighbors. the story changes, it was a few days ago they blamed the US. i expect in a few more days it will change back to the US or someone else.
its funny, iran gets a terror attack and now they demand another country give up someone...wasnt iran completely against afghanistan giving up osama bin laden to the US...ah, irony is a bitch lol.
I think they haven't figured out who exactly would have been helping Jundollah, but they have a pretty long list of suspects and they are apparently all guilty until proven guilty. Their accusations are not completely unfounded, but I would like to see them provide concrete evidence that can be made public.
My sympathies to Iran. If Islamabad doesn't do more to weed the extremists out of the ISI there will be more of these attacks. I'm not sure that American and British forces plotted this attack, but I'm sure they were blindly funding it by channeling money through the ISI. I hope this isn't the beginning of instability in Iran because, given the global tone towards Iran, any excuse for foreign intervention will be exploited.
i rarely agree with you but you make some good points.i can say this (and it almost never has the chance to leave my lips): i was proud of the iranians.for a short while and in only one area but it was there.i would have bet anything that during the election uprising there was going to be bombings.i was so happy to see i was wrong and even though it wasnt all peaceful, it didnt go as far as bombings.its too bad to see that it finally happened but to be fair it apparently came from outside iran.
That's just the thing: people assume the worst about Iran. With a few exceptions, they are mostly living in peace within their own country and with their neighbours. The regime is pretty screwy, but what leadership isn't? I don't think they are the threat we are being led to think they are. I am worried that any American or Israeli aggression against Iran will only lead to further destabilization in the Middle East and I can think of no bigger mistake.
ah cmon dude...let the honesty out...iran sends more money to terrorist groups like hamas than anyone. id go so far to say hamas would collapse without iran but i have no proof. they are also involved in interfering in iraq. iran with a nuke is something i will never support. now, cmon psycho...deep down you know as well as i do iran is diiiiirty. public hangings of teenage girls, public stonings, denying the holocaust...
I knew you'd bring up Iran's proxy-wars. But if you want to pick a country apart for doing that then almost everyone is guilty in one way or another. I don't agree with Iran funding Hamas, I hate Hamas as much as anyone (other than Hamas). Iran may be interterfering in Iraq, but so are a lot of Iraq's other neighbours. I would say that Syria is more guilty of continued destabilization in Iraq than Iran is. (comment continued ...)
I don't have to look deep inside to see that Iran is dirty, I have no reason to deny that to myself. The human rights abuses are impossible to defend, except to say that the world has bigger problems right now and I don't understand why we can't fight those problems with the same diplomatic ferocity we treat Iran with. Denying the Halocaust? That's an asshole opinion, but other than offending people is it really hurting anyone? (comment continued...)
Although I mostly don't agree with Iran's tactics, I think that they are in a perpetual state of panic because their sovereignty is being threatened. The whole world is dirty, and that brings us full-circle to Iran's proxy-wars. They're just playing the same game everybody else is playing for power and survival.
