You did mention that Screen Flow was running in your description but not in the video and people will often not read the description. Screen Flow uses a lot of CPU so performance is even better when you're not running it. Thanks for this vid, I can't wait to get my new shiny 13 inch MacBook Pro tomorrow!!! I'm super happy as I am upgrading from a 2007 white MacBook. :-) My Macbook that I'm typing on now could never play this video.

Does the MBP get hot, especially in warm weather such as the summer? I am debating between iMac and Macbook Pro, but the graphics and how hot it gets puts me off of it (I want portability).

@LordToby25 I tried them both and the macbook pro is better. The mac book air is easy in overheat and mounts lamer graphics. The only thing that could be faster is the loading of a game because of the SSD.

@tamag9 It's running the game on high with anti aliasing and recording all at the same time I'd say that was very good for an integrated graphics chip :D. It's nice that that sandy bridge i5 pulls it's weight. It's kinda not worth the extra $300 for the i7.

im not much of a gamer, but i was interested in purchasing this model of MBP. i definitely want to be able to run diablo 3 on it which comes out in 2012. the hardware requirements of diablo 3 arent out yet, but they shouldnt be that high. u think this laptop will be able to run it?

Can you do a video on Black ops if you have bootcamp? I have this same model but I'm afraid black ops won't run, because of all the talk of it stuttering in multiplayer because of it's poor optimization. It runs on the 2010 model perfectly, so I guess there's a chance it will run on the 2011 model....

Turn the Vsync off and you will get more frames and smoother gameplay.

Looks like a beasty computer there. Planning on getting a Macbook pro when I go to college in a few years, so hopfully the next few 13in models will have a dedicated GPU in it.

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but I heard that last years model was actually better for gaming because this is the first year mac switched the macbook pro to intel's new integrated gpu, which although it is a huge leap for intel's line of GPU's its not as good for gaming as last years 13" mac book pro, which had the Nvidia 320M?

Have you tried Flight Sim X?? - I know it's an older game but it's quite resource hungry.

I can only afford the 13 inch not the 15.... Just hope the HD 3000 can handle Flight Sim X even if it;s just at medium settings.

How does it run on medium? It's pretty jumpy when you're in combat on high, but seems fairly smooth otherwise. I'm glad you're down-to-earth in terms of performance, it's really helpful.
