His kit set up just screams AMATEUR! I know set up is a personal preference, but any pro wouldn't have their toms in that position. By having toms incanted like that would waste energy because you are adding extra and unnecessary movement: Terrible ergonomics.

@mellodge word. I think the kit-setup says alot about the drummer. Any drummer with serious skills will usually have a pretty "efficient" kit so to speak. Once I played this venue where I didn't use my own kit, and the setup was a fucking nightmare. It was probably set up by a guitarplayer or some shit :P

Anyone on ANY expert village video is horrible at their subjects, regardless of what it is. Expert village is a misleading name as nobody on their videos are ever experts... They have 14 year old kids teaching skateboard tricks with little idea how to do them themselves and who are terrible at speaking when giving a lesson

everyones right and wrong here. Flat out, yes, his tom setup is past handicapable comprehension, but if thats the way he plays and doesnt want to be able to gain skill then so be it... he gave decent tips but isnt the greatest at playing. overall, its a 50-50 split between good n bad!

Well the general ideas with double bass that he's trying to get across aren't bad, but he looks very tense and uncomfortable and his tempo is very erratic........oh well what can I expect from expertvillage.......sometimes I just watch them to see how bad they are lol. And I know that drumkit setup is very much a personal thing, but the way his toms are set up are not economical or practical and I've only seen beginners set it up that way, never good drummers...lol.

play a strait forward 4/4 groove doin 8th notes with the feet then to strenghthen your left foot and help your 4 way independance on only play your right foot on the first beat of every bar and keep you left foot playing on the upbeats and by doing this u will notice if u left foot is quieter, slower, faster or summat like tht

double kick...lol...thats 8th note on base, most drummer with 1 year of band can do that with one leg, ....

and yes, pro drummer will have no problem doing 16th note with one leg on base... but most have diffculty doing that...which is ppl invent double pedal for the sole purpose of 16th on base.
