Silent Hill: Homecoming. I don't know if it counts as "best story line ever," but if you like dark, twisted psychological horror, it's a game you should check out. There is a lot of symbolism in it, so your English teacher might appreciate it. Pyramid Head is probably the coolest symbol ever. Same with the "Other World."

Metal Gear Solid, honestly, cannot compare to games like Dragon Age: Origins or Final Fantasy VII, except, maybe, for Snake Eater or Patriots. Not saying the series is bad, just not on the level of those other two. Also, if we are judging games by their stories alone, I would say that Fallout, Silent Hill, and Modern Warfare should be mentioned as "good." Not sure if I would say any of those had the "best story line" ever though.

But games like assassins creed, dead space(if you look for it, audio log things) and others like that have good story line. cod games never have great story lines, they are fun thought.like borderlands,shit story but amazing gameplay
