you could get two nets (like the white one you have for rags) to wash your daughter's clothes in - that way they stay separated in the washing machine. Just buy them big enough so that the clothes have room to move!

i live in an apartment, our building has 3 washers and 3 dryers for the whole building (i estimate that there is 24 families in our building) so we cant do the put some in the morning and leave it and switch it over when you get home.. but i do love the separate basket tip

Laundry really gets crazy when you have daughters that like to change their clothes a couple time a day and yet too lazy to hang them back up so they just throw it in the laundry basket for you to wash. My daughter wears a different pair of pajamas every night and no matter how much I tell her to wear her pajamas 3 nights in a row she still does it. That is my laundry problem.

I've noticed that I can wash one bra with my clothes and it doesn't get all tangled but I never dry it, I always hang it up to dry. I was washing my bras by hand until I accidently thew a bra in the wash and it came out fine, I was happy, no more washing out by hand, just one bra in each load.

Thanks- good tips; never thought of having separate baskets ;) as far as throwing things on the bed I also do it - good one; yet I was so tired- a couple of times dumped it on the chest of drawers and then afterwards dumped more, and there acumulated a huge pile... embarassing.
