  • I don't know what track this was at, but for a NHRA sanctioned event, that was the saddest, bush league safety safari response I have ever seen!

These clowns come out of the trucks wearing t-shirts and shorts, then the guy falls off the truck !

If that fuel tank would have blown, the driver would have been the only one wearing nomex and likely to be o.k. .

NHRA should use this as a training film on what NOT to do in an incident.

  • see that rescue dude,hes hurt,idiot hahaha

  • And the fire fighter wearing shorts and a tee shirt. The whole scene looked like a keystone kops episode.

  • Time limit for pre-staging is 20 seconds after the 1st car has pre-staged. ..., the starter who operates the christmas tree should be fired. The starter was probably related the the zombie. The Zombie and starter completely disrespected Mr Norm, Mr Norm should have won by default.

  • they should have both been started before burnout box at the same time

  • that was total crap. the zombie should have been dq'd for waiting too long and " burning up" mr norms car. those motors were not meant to run that long.

  • I love the stance of that car ... not that low riding junk you see now a days !!

  • Vehicular safety rule #1: Keep your arms and legs inside the car at all times, until the car comes to a complete stop. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!! glad he was alright though....."Ouch my Dignity"

  • If u look at the valve covers on the zombie, he is clearly running a pontiiac power. they are tall and narrow. With a bowtie would be wide and short...u moron

  • Where did see a chevy in all that u dumbass...

  • Ya'll see what the Zombie did there?

Very unsportsmanlike. He waited way to long to fire his car up for one thing. Then he did a way to long of a burn out, making Mr.Norm sit longer. He obviously burned up a gasket or seal waiting for Zombie to stage.

The only way a chevy can beat a Hemi!

  • hot damn

  • i'm glad the car is alright, as for fatso...wait until the truck comes to a complete stop just like they told you in kindergarden.

i'm a mopar guy but the coronet didnt have a chance against the Zombie.

  • the winged express burnout is stil much more spectacular

  • LOVE THE ZOMBIE

  • Lol my friend I knew Duesenbergs were American made. Most people think they are italian and its a easy way for me to judge who i am speaking to. Give people the wrong info and its quick to figure out who's an idiot. You have got to be kidding????????????? I have not heard such a lame excuse since basic. OverBORING might want to get your facts strait.

  • Look in a mirror and say that. I have offered facts and you just say,"your wrong". Why dont you state some verifyable facts? In 2005 or 06 Mopar Muscle magazine had a article about this. It references the two people i listed.

  • ...and between 3:57 and 4:00pm on the second tuesday during a solar eclipse standing on one leg wearing green holding a black cat..........I had not seen anything about mass produced listed in your or anyone elses rantings. 2 hours ago you did not know a duesenberg was american made ,now you know all about the J and the SJ models. What is production? is it the 121,000+ 1964 mustangs made or the 7 1971 hemicuda convertables made? The 1302 1975 Duster 360's made or the 12 ORIGINAL 1965 A/FX cars

  • Lol my friend I knew Duesenbergs were American made. Most people think they are italian and its a easy way for me to judge who i am speaking to. Give people the wrong info and its quick to figure out who's an idiot. The Duesenbergs, the 12 that were made were EXAMPLES! Not production and were not built for a market. It was toward the end of there first run in the late 30's, they never went into production

  • Of corse you did!

  • No you dont. I am friends with the guy that owns the ONE A-925 DOHC 426 hemi. There was one. Period. It never ran under its own power. Had some of the bosses break under load when they were stress loading it on a Dyno.

  • And I am sure you will tell me Chrysler NEVER made a turbocharged slant six. Those parts in my basement that have factory casting numbers and pentastars are just a figment of my imagination. And the chrysler eng. that I got them from must not have been friends with Tom Hoover and.......I am not a expert but neither are you. And anyone that says they know it all is a fool. Bottom line you can twist facts however you want but the 55 Chrysler was not the first car to have 300hp.

  • Lol so your problem is the fact that I said I know all about Mopar, which as you know, no one can know all so that means it must have been a un-provable statement. This upset you because you think you know more and that messes with your physiology for some reason. You put words in my mouth and that continues to have nothing to do with what we were originally discussing. You have proven me wrong I have proven you wrong. And the 55 C-300 was the first V8 production car with 300hp period.

  • Learn to take some criticism and learn to be able to listen to people like I have from you without delegating to name calling.

  • Mr PC, what name did I call you???? Learning to read would help you in your indevors. Now you say V-8. Yes this is correct. The Duesenberg was a strait eight , but you knew that. Go back and read all 29 posts.

  • "And anyone that says they know it all is a fool" And since this was your point of reaction I would say you called me a fool. Mr PC? Because I am talking to you through the PC? Well I am sorry I dont live closer or have any other way to communicate to you. Did you admit to the fact that you were wrong on your statement of only 1 DOHC 426 Hemi?

  • No. Mr PC for Politically Correct. Someone that raises a big fuss because they have the potential of having their feelings hurt. No I did not admit it because im not wrong. If he is still alive , I have not talked to him in yrs., contact Tom Hoover. He was the head engineer on the A-925 project. And anyone that says they know it all IS a fool. I have never claimed to "know it all" , but I do stand by what I say.

  • Why dont you check out that link I sent you and read. Its doesnt work as well or give you the juicy details as a hand me down story does but it does work. Its how we people who werent able to live in that time frame learn. So their for you did call me a name. If you read you will find out that you are wrong. And I am by no means Politically Correct nor would I ever want to be.

  • Well I recieved no link. I dont know what it is since I did not get it. Somehow talking to the main engineer of the project and seeing the actual motor setting in my friends house are a bit more than "juicy details". Oh and everything you read on the internet is 100% true...............

  • Thats the chevy boys laughing at the man that fell off the truck, mopar guys have class.

  • its nice to see there still some mopar guys out there...and hahahaha stupid fuck couldnt wait for the truck to stop!?! hahahaha

  • Watching that fatso fall off the truck is hilarious. He's trying to be the hero or something, first guy off the truck. There you go Superman.

  • Mr. Ron Leek on the PA. Leek is an encyclopedia of drag racing knowledge. Thanks for the video.

  • Got to hear some of Ron's late 50's early 60's stories last month at Byron Dragstrip, The man can tell you a story from 50 years ago like it happend yesterday !!! Its a shame that most every one there could care less about the REAL history of midwest drag racing. It's dis-heartning that most of drag racings modern day fat-asses would rather sit home on the toilet and read about southern california in hot rod and car craft.

  • that is rob driving the gto ricks son diamond collision flint michigan

  • I was in the stands when this all went down. The Dodge actually ripped the front tranny seal out ,thus causing the fluid to get under the car.He later took it to Philly and had it repaired correctly.

The guy who jumped out of the rescue truck, should have waited for it to STOP .

  • Dodge made the first muscle car (62 Dodge Polara 413 Max Wedge 62 Plymouth Belvedere) the first pony car (63 1/2 Cuda, came out 2 weeks before the mustang) created the first funny car (RamCharger team) even today TopFuel/Funny cars run on engines based on the 66 426 Hemi engine design with little changes. 70 percent of all engines in drag racing today is of a Hemi design/ engine.

  • buick did learn your facts

  • I have no idea what you meant by that?

  • cant comprehend the english language?

i will break it down for you

Buick made the first "muscle" car

and learn what you are talking about before you type

  • Haha Buick did not make the first muscle car. The bases for all muscle cars was the 1955 Chrysler 300, it was the very FIRST 2 door large sedan built in mind for performance with a 392 Hemi, also being the first car to have 300hp hence the name. Dude I dont know where you get your info but I have a feeling its a very biased one.

  • Wrong and wrong. Duesenberg was first car to have 300HP and the 55 chrysler 300 did not have a 392. It had a 331. The 392 did not come out till 1957.

  • Sorry I did mean the 331 and yes you are right it came out in 1957. However it was the first American car to have 300 hp. Which in those days if it wasnt American it wasnt well known. And to be the first bases of the muscle car it is the C-300

  • Duesenberg was a American car. First based in Elizebeth, NJ. and later in Indiana. Both of those places are in the United States.

  • And to go by the correct term,"Muscle car- a mid size body with a large motor", The Chrysler 300, any yr, is a FULL SIZE car. The 62 Max Wedge Dart and Fury, both mid size cars were really the first. Even thought the credit is always given to the GTO because of its marketing.

  • Yes exactly, but the Chrysler 300 was the basest for all muscle cars though. You could call it the grandfather. Before 1955 the average daily driver was not built for handling, speed or racing. Even though their were very successful racers before hand. The C-300 was the first template of the muscle car. The only thing lacking on the C-300 was its size.

  • And while Duesenberg was the first to make 300hp, they infact built a 400hp supercharged version, They were NOT mass produced and available to the average joe. And as far as V8 is concerned the 331 Hemi was the first to make 300hp.

  • You really need more then 12-50 produced to make it a production car.

  • Or how about the kbillion 5.0 mustangs made or the 809 chrysler 300D made? And speaking of those 1958 chryslers, the 12 to 34, depending on who you ask, electronic fuel injection models that were made and then replaced with dual quad setups. Are those production?????? Might want to check your facts before you post.

  • Oh and btw, the English language uses comma's and periods. Learn to use it, because when you say "buick did learn your facts" you have to put a comma in after "did" so people can make sense of your typing. Comprehend? And capitalization is another big part of that.
