I don't know, I just can't be excited by this style of drumming. Ya it's impressive on a technical scale but it's hardly creative it's merely just taking rudiments and speeding them up, and even then there's no actual finesse to the playing it's just accenting the shit out of everything.

I dunno I look at drummers like Gavin Harrison and Billy Cobham and then back to this and it just seems boring.

First thing you'll notice is that my favorite band is Opeth (AKA. the Godfathers of Progressive Death Metal), along with Cynic, Atheist, Death, Meshuggah, etc. etc.

My favorite band when I was 8 years old was Megadeth, so yes I hate all forms of metal.

Listen to Cynic, Atheist, Meshuggah or Opeth then this. And you'll hear what I mean by rudimentary.

@ExpertPlusGuitarHero Bleed's a pretty good example too if you watch the live version of it. As he adds ghost notes to the snare which create a great groove with the polyrhythmic bass.

And of course there's the drum songs out there that are half jazz half metal. (look up Anesthetize live and just watch Gavin Harrison, it's scary how much control he has over the sticks, and for a jazz drummer he has the cleanest double bass technique I've ever seen without using a trigger).

Besides this being off sync i noticed he is obviously using 2 double triggers. You should take out half the bass its impossible to play for most people on rock band as the do not have 2 double triggers only 2 single triggers

As Doodle said, triggers are electronics placed on the drums to make the sound louder through a drum module. He's using two beaters, two feet, and two pedals. I've seen faster with two pedals. Just look up 300 bpm double bass. I dare you.
