When he has shattered multiple world championships he gets to step up. Vettle is blisteringly talented in F1 and there are few who would disagree but until he has done what Schumacher, Senna et al did he is just the current world champion. Something tells me both Vettle and Stoner will probably dominate their sports for a while and good luck to them. But they haven't yet......

@Stangelycoloured Yes fella, couldn't agree more. Don't forget though, Rossi won on the M1 yamaha which was pretty shite the years before. Stoner is shit hot on a bike as are all the other gp riders, they wouldn't be there if not.

@freedomsoldier187 Because every moto gp bike is different pretty much every year. Ducati wasn't a very good bike in 2011 but hondas was the best last year.

@freedomsoldier187 You obviously didn't watch MOTO gp last year. Tell me this then, what was the best bike last year then? Ducati had a new frame and setup last year and couldn't quite get it right, that maybe due to them having limited time to test it with the new rules that are inforce now. The Ducati that Casey rode when he won was a far better machine then what it is now. If your a MOTO gp fan and not a fanboy for Casey you'll understand!

@freedomsoldier187 He won the championship with Ducati in 07 and won last year on the honda. If he just "makes do" why didn't he win the 08,09 and 2010 championship. The Ducati was one of the top bikes in 07. Nuff said in a while crocodile.

@Trotters222 He won in '07 when the Ducati was demonstrably faster and suited to the Bridgestones than anything else. He won in '11 when the Honda was demonstrably quicker than anything else. He is a very talented rider but until he is up against someone (Lorenzo, Rossi etc) on a relatively quick bike and does if, let's say 7 - 9 times times, he remains just another world champion.
