  • My top suspect is William. Some small actions are making him suspicious in my opinion. He was searching for jokers instead of shooting Marit, he wanted to go into the tower etc. My second suspect is Tim. But frankly speaking this season I have no clear idea. For me Liesbeth is becoming too obvious but maybe it is her strategy in this season.

  • two more things...I find the silhouette in the beginning of this video interesting (it looks like Frits' silhoutte) and then he talks about how the place IS the most historical location they'll see all series (not PROBABLY the most, or ONE of the most). How does he know what historical locations might come up? Lastly, and I hope it's not a real clue, but William's Washington Nationals hat basically makes a M (for Mol) if you flip it over. I think I'm starting to turn into Corbin Bernsen now

  • here's an interesting fact: each execution, the fourth person's name to be called has been eliminated EXCEPT this week because of the different circumstances. I gotta admit this "clue" would look to obvious and it would be hard to maintain as the number of contestants decrease but Frits being 4th this week puts him a little higher on my list. I agree Liesbeth looks too obvious with the editing but I can't waver now lol

    1. Liesbeth

    2. Marit

    3. Hadewych

    4. Frits

    5. William

    6. Anne-Marie

    7. Tim

  • I want to compliment you on the translations. Normally when dutch people translate stuff to english it plain sucks, but these are superb! Keep up the good work! And thanks for all the effort

  • Oh and really guys: 'Haydemitch' and 'Hardwick' etc...

I know it's not easy but come on... ;-) ;-)

    Her name is HADEWYCH.

    ;-)

  • I want to bring to the attention of the graffiti boards from the first challenge.

Out of all of you, who thought it was weird that they had a board that said "I AM"

And I know I'm a staunch believer that Liesbeth or Hadewych is the Mole... but either Anne-Marie or Frits could be the mole.

Stupid to think of which... but it would cross my mind in this challenge if I saw that board to think... I AM THE MOLE... who was placed there in the beginning of the challenge. Who ended up there at the end

  • Now that I think about it, Liesbeth reminds me of the runner-up in Season 5. I agree that she had a key position and that the editing makes it a bit too obvious, but, I don't know, it could have been her plan to convince the first person (Hadewych) to go unanimous green, so then that person would pass the idea on (to Anne-Marie) and get the two green votes needed to fuck everything up. Maybe. Conjecture!

  • In other words, The Mole had very little chance to sabotage this, as he/she was required to vote Green or risk clearing two people. The fact that Tim/Frits didn't realize this is very very very suspect. I personally could see Frits as The Mole with the intention of voting Green with everyone initially, but then jumping along with Tim just as an opportune time to sabotage... plus he was smiling at the result.

Haydemitch or Frits is what I've determined. In my last post: TIm should say William

  • I think the competition itself reveals that The Mole was one of the two not participating in the game. Most likely, Haydemitch, because Tim sounds like he doesn't suspect her at all, meaning he almost got eliminated.

If the Mole was in the game, and everyone agreed to vote green, the Mole had no choice but to vote green as well, as if he/she voted red, he/she would reveal that BOTH of the two people in the hot seat are CLEARED of being The Mole, and thus increase the chances of being revealed.

  • I think the mole double bluffed, knowing that somebody would vote red assuming that the mole would too. I still think Hadewych is the mole, and the way that Liesbeth voted suggests she felt that way too; only Hadewych cycled once, if I remember correctly.

  • Frits did not even mention to Tim that, based on his earlier conversation, Liesbeth also somewhat agreed to vote red...Liesbeth had the best 'sabotaging' spot...She essentially can "reach" everyone with her message directly and indirectly (Hadewych-->Anne-Marie and Frits-->Tim)...I think whoever voted red is more concerned with advancing in the game than the actual money in the pot/friends staying. Frits fits that type of role and so I think he voted red and Anne-Marie most surely voted green

  • @toeknee4787

Hmm Frits didn't mention it to Tim no. He said, either one of the three ladies is the Mole and will be voting red. Maybe he was genuinely persuading Tim not knowing who his suspect was, or maybe it was Mole-ish if he knew Tim suspected him too and therefore might not trust him so vote green instead. Tim's main suspect seemed to be Anne-Marie though? Liesbeth does have a key position and changes her mind.. Yet the editting makes her so obvious I find it so hard to believe.. :-/

  • @ThatDarkSpark Everyone's saying they're making Liesbeth "obvious", but they did many of the same things with last year's Mole and a lot of people didn't get it...

There's no way Marit can be the Mole. Anne-Marie is obviously not it as well. These two are trying, more than anybody else, to get the group money. William has got the group money single-handedly as well, as has Tim. And Hadewych - besides the green vote thing - stopped William from going into the tower in ep. 3.

  • So what I'm saying is is, it's got to be Liesbeth or Frits, unless Tim deliberately won money to throw everyone off. Which is possible. My top suspect right now, though, HAS to be Liesbeth.

And if it turns out to be Anne-Marie, I'm giving up mole-hunting for good, because I obviously suck at it. :)

  • @H0lyMoley

Haha.. You may well be right (though I confess by now I wholeheartedly hope it's not Liesbeth..). Bear in mind though that we've had unlikely Moles. i.e. other people being far more 'Mole-ish' than the actual Mole was imo. Wasn't that keen on them but then, I wasn't keen on the rather obvious alternative either.. :p I'd say it's a fair bet but then, things aren't always logical and fair in the Mole, she said with a wink. ;-)

  • @H0lyMoley Here's the terrible mind game-the mole knew that there was gonna be the possibility for the money to disappear. So it's possible they earned money knowing it would probably be lost. Also, If you look back at ep 1, Marion directly said she took the test on Liesbeth, Frits, and Tim. That begs the question, would she really have screwed up the test that bad?

  • @ThatYoshiGuy She said that? Dayum...

Then I'm TOTALLY confused, because that brings me back to Hadewych, and she was the one who stopped William from going into the tower in episode three, thereby losing the entire cast the money, while Frits and Liesbeth just stood back and looked disinterested...

  • @ThatYoshiGuy It's true that Marion said that. To be fair though she mentioned making mistakes and making the fastest test in Mole history or so the production told her anyway, in her exit interview. In previous series it's happened the contestant executed first voting in part for the Mole, probably just unlucky in the answers or hedging their bets too much. But yes, she did mention these three. Dio, we don't know exactly and Maarten went for the highest statistical probability. :-)

  • I hope it's not Tim. That moment with him dragging his feet along while William pedaled looked like it was taken straight from a look-how-the-mole-sabotaged montage, and he's just always so shifty and abnormal. Hell, I don't know. I always change my mind, and I constantly wonder (probably too much) how production is trying to (mis)lead us... I want to be surprised in the end.

  • @Lulz839

Well, if it's any consolation.. I know exactly how you feel.. I'm not that thrilled by his 'I could care less' attitude - kind of annoying both as contestant as well as the Mole. Also he's looking so suspicious and fishy in the edit (not unlike Liesbeth). But based on the events and his actions I can't ignore him anymore either.Just still hoping it might be someone else, Frits maybe or Anne-Marie, Hadewych..Even if I think they are less likely. Ah well..Hope springs eternal, right? ;-)

  • @ThatDarkSpark Yeah, Tim is kinda the guy I always forget about when I'm thinking who it could be... or thinking anything, really.

One point... I've rewatched part of episode 3 and it's Hardwych who stops William from going into the tower (Liesbeth just stands by and looks away, Frits does pretty much nothing). Hardly a Moley action... Liesbeth was the first one to go for the joker in the previous challenge (making it more likely the others would also be selfish?)

  • Ok, I got a bit more than that.

Blackrat is right, on the face of it the Mole has to be someone who SAID they would vote "red", but actually voted green. Hardwych and Anne-Marie seemed shocked by the fact that anyone voted red at all. Liesbeth suggested they all vote red after realising the Mole would, and proposed this to Frits, who proposed it to Tim. Anne-Marie and Hardwych were still going to vote green.

So the Mole, if they threw the one green vote, has to be... Liesbeth, Tim, or Frits?

  • All I have to say is this: THANK GOD Reagan had a Mole in Gorby's high command! Which is fitting... if they'd gone at their negotiations like our contestants went about THEIR negotiations, a very large part of the world would probably be a smoking crater by now...

  • This is what The Mole is all about.. loved this episode. The only funnier outcome would've been if they voted to continue with the execution and then it turned out William and Marit were the only two that were safe and one of the five others would be leaving.

  • also i love dutch people. they are so nice. its funny when you cant understand someone (language barrier) you cant really identify to them. when u know what their saying through glorious subtitles you affiliate and bond with em.

  • Rewatching this episode it is Liesbeth that does the majority of the mindfu*king bringing up the fact that if the mole were in the negotiating group they couldn't win.

Although Tim considers it, he concludes to concur with Anne-Marie. He is a weirdo though so.....

But really the producers in the end could have told the mole who voted who and allowed the mole to just fuck it all up knowingly.

    THUS...MOLE=ANNE-MARIE. Last one to vote.

So excited hahahaha. Been thinking about it all day

  • clever mind-bumbling episode :p

  • @blackratpoo

Haha yes I loved it too! Classic WIDM mindf*ck ..*lol*

As for the non-executee being lucky..We had a similar situation once, that person escaped the red screen but was executed next because she thought it was all a mindf*ck and she was still right.. NOT.. lol.. I wonder if Marit or William will think differently, the clues seem to be hinting Marit might be the next to go though. o_O

  • @ThatDarkSpark But Marit seems so nice plus I suspect her cause noone does. Hadewych and Marit, people have just forgotten about which baffles me (don't let their blond+blue-eyes girl next door act fool you). So everyone still reckons Liesbeth or Anne-Marie followed by Tim. Think its someone else. But seriously I want more. So addictive. LOL! I'm used to watching whole series in just a day. What you doing is soooo appreciateid! You make my directionless life worth living. haha,

  • @blackratpoo

Marit was my lead suspect, though I wavered after epi 3 and actually no longer think so after epi 4. Anything is possible, but I think it would be a hard story to sell afterwards if it were just contestants doing the negotiations, and the Mole had nothing to do with €10.800,- from the pot.. I just can't picture that tbh. Anne-Marie isn't suspected that much on the forums, Liesbeth and Tim are the main suspects, and the editting still makes me think they're not the Mole..I hope! ;-)

  • @ThatDarkSpark Oh, if the Mole wasn't in the negotiating group, I'm giving up now. I don't think I can pin this one on Hardwych either. Liesbeth has been my #2 suspect forever but I'm seriously reconsidering Frits. Maybe I've dismissed him way too early, like last year's Mole. Tim? Could be, but he was quick to win one thousand euros last episode. May be because he knew this was coming of course... in which case ANY of them could theoretically be it still...

  • OH MY GOD. frits seriously is giving me the shits. I think Tim and Liesbeth voted red and then he voted green after orchestrating them to vote red. Could be Liesbeth too. Or Tim. Regardless, the mole is most likely not Anne-Marie or Hadewych from this point of view. Still......the fact that Marit and William know that there is a 50% chance that they were completely on the wrong track is in fact perhaps the best present they could have received. The executee is a very lucky person!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @blackratpoo What if the mole were Marit? The annoying thing with this execution is they don't know if they did poorly, or if they just happened to be unlucky enough to be put on the spot like that. So one could be entirely right, but then stops voting for the mole.

@ThatDarkSpark what clues point to her going? I'm just curious as to why you think this.

Marit was very suspicious in this episode to me. She's said she hates water, and happens to not have to go in? Wasn't in negotiations and bike.

  • @ThatYoshiGuy

It's because we get a musical clue about the person who will be executed next. Granted there is a margin of error and interpretation. On one of the main forums she was one of the lead suspects, and mine from epi 1 basically. Being out of the negotiations seems strange for the Mole, when so much is at stake.

Musical clue was 'Go' by Pearl Jam.In it they mention tunnelvision (like Marit does in test) and her name means 'pearl' in Greek. The forum was right 2x & 1x wrong with Maarten.

  • Comment spoilers as usual--

Well, I change my mind. This is the best episode yet. But let's see how the rest of the season goes! I'm REALLY loving it so far, thanks so much for all of your hard work. I am so glad by the outcome of this mission, I would've voted green no matter the possibilities.

  • @heliotropei

Glad to hear you're enjoying it! :-) I am too, I think the series is getting better with each episode sofar, as in slow buildup ;-) Can't wait to see what happens next.

The new destination is Almería in Southern Spain by the way...Sunny indeed B-)

  • Ok it's gotta be a female. it's gotta! The guys I trust. The girls I dont.

  • @mjpj189 I've been saying that since I was about thirteen years old... ;-)

But yeah, I agree with you completely, at least as far as pre-episode-four thoughts go. I did have Tim down as a possibility but he's much less likely after he earnt a thousand euros unnecessarily in episode three.
