Brielga: Something important? Gordon already won 2 stages in the '05 Dakar, with many other top 5's, in the VW, which was seriously underpowered at that time. That's up against McRae, et all. Baja: Many more miles of "straight road" in Dakar than Baja. They run a different course each year, like Dakar. Ask Armin Schwarz(WRC)how tough Baja 1000 is, he tried it this year, whole different animal, lol. Go see it sometime, or at least look at some video, then talk with some actual knowledge.
Robby Gordon still holds the course record at the old Canary Islands Race of Champions course, where he spanked all the WRC guys on dirt, in the same cars. Hater fools, at least do your homework. Fools. Keep on hating, you'll get it back times 100. Bank on it.
Really??? and were dit u find that information??? He didn't won anything! course record? for what? he didn't finish first in the overall... Americans doesn't even know how to drive the stick!!! LOLOLOL ;)
yeah, maybe thats true, but rallying is more than going round and round in the same circuit over and over again...its about improvisation, conection with the codriver...
i dont deny that robbie has some talent, but he needs quite a lot more to do something important in the dakar, wich is not held in straight mexican o american dirt roads where is very easy to lay the responsability to the enourmous suspensions and all mighty huge V8 engines...
Robby Gordon is a natural born (un)talent for driving... a true hill billy, full speed ahead, no brains, no hand skills. Its a shame that he is only there because he has lots of money.
I'm sure that Hummer Team can arrange someone more qualifyed to drive that wonderful machine!!!
true that. But,Baja is tough race on its own, too. Dakar rally? they have companies such as Mitsubishi holding their title for more then two decades. VW and Hummer are pretty new to this kind of race. They have so much to work on. after all, I am from america. so my bet always go to hummer, win or lose. that's the spirit of sports.
a little ditch?

10 mins an 800 hp Baja TT would make you lose your "Chile". Dakar rules are childlike.

see...just gringo stupidity...big engines, long suspensions but no driver talent
racing in roads, normal roads..and the same freaking roads over and over, year after year...no wonder they can go that fast
rallying is way more than going full speed all the time
