Actually, Tokio Hotel did this cover for Amnesty international to raise funds for their Save Darfur -campaign with the permission of Yoko Ono. So they were requested to cover it - they didn't do it for popularity..

Plus I don't think there are too many fans that don't know the original context, as TH has never released this song anywhere. The only legal way to purchase it is through Amnesty ;'>
