@dwaipayan3086it is a popular lore from bengal.the day on which this transformation happened is celebrated by shaktas as phalaharini kali puja.it is due to the same reason that the famous shyamsundar temples in vrindavan and khardaha decorates their deities as kalika on dipavali amavasya night !
