  • I need parts off that damn thing lol

  • @zephmont me too

  • Shirtless guy is cute.

  • @Farson12 I'm glad you grasped what this video is about.

  • why would you do that to a perfectly good car?

  • @shittyclothing56 to do a burn out you just put it in drive, hold the brake with your left foot just enough so that when you push the accelerator the brakes keep the front tires from moving, but not the rear tires. as far as what you want to do to the car, it's not exactly a rare car, and who cares? do what makes you happy and do what you think you will enjoy most. just remember that the things you're mentioning take a lot of time and effort to do right (mainly chop the top). i say go for it.

  • I had an 88,89 TC as well as a 90 Grand Marquis with the 5.0,and now i have a 93 TC with the 4.6 (which in no way comes even close to the 5.0),but give a young kid a car like that and this is the result,,,sad sad sad...thats a timeless beauty gone too waste,i hope whoever bought it from u took much better care of her than u did.

  • @FunkmassaVip OK, to set the record straight. I received the car from my father as payment for repairing his car. When I got the car, I put a new rear main seal in, new rod and main bearings, a complete tune up (plugs, wires, cap, rotor) and new mufflers (I was 17 at the time). I broke the engine and babied it until everything was seated in. Then i decided to have some fun with it. It was technically a free car and i shampooed the interior and washed and waxed it as soon as I got it.

  • @MCRmechanic My 89 had a carburated 302 and it was a dam good car,,,but too each its own,,,im just glad u didnt total it out lol....

  • @FunkmassaVip This was in no way a daily occurance but I had a hell of a lot of fun doing it. Everyone can come down on me as much as they want about this video and how i treated the car, but after sitting for one year an electrical issue presented itself in the form of runing waaaay rich and no idle, so i sold the car for $350. why did the guy buy it? he needed a booze cruiser for bar hopping in north easter north dakota and had a carburated motor to put in it. that's the story.

  • @FunkmassaVip

What are you talking about that 5.0 had 119 whp and 150 at the crank dont know what you mean when you say the 4.6 didnt come close to the 5.0

  • @oooanthonyooo Im sayin,,,i liked the 5.0 vs the 4.6

  • @oooanthonyooo Im sayin,,,i liked the 5.0 vs the 4.6,just my personal opinion,,the 5.0 delivers alot better than the 4.6,,,dont get wrong,,,plz dont sleep on the 4.6,,,but from every grand marquis too the towncar ive had with 5.0's...i liked them better than the 4.6 is what im saying

  • @oooanthonyooo All of my 5.0's were carbed,,,not fuel injected,,,so maybe thats the reason.

  • @FunkmassaVip

no possible way a 4.6 gave In 1994, 20 HP was added to the engine, bringing the total to 210 hp (157 kW). The torque was increased as well, by ten, bringing the total to 270 pound-feet as per wiki. ur wrong sir

  • Respond to this video... 1984–1985 140 hp (104 kW) at 3200 rpm 250 lb·ft (340 N·m) at 1,600 rpm

  • @FunkmassaVip And furthermore... look at all of the town cars that become demo cars... and you say I waste a timeless beauty...

  • @MCRmechanic hahahaha that car has power i have the same car but in black but the seats are worn up those used to be leather the seats of my car.i wonder what it would do to a viper if it hit it on front hehe =)

  • Poor car.....

  • u suck at driving

  • @mudmonkey22 thanks for the comment bud. post a vid of you driving your town car around. i'll rate your skill ;)

  • i have a 1988 town car to =)

  • one word dum ass

  • i have an 85 its sick

  • what ever you paid for the car i would have easily with no problem gave you double what you paid......................... dumb fucks

  • @juzzy1k I didn't pay for the car. it was given to me for free. and this is some of the most free fun i ever had. the only damage i could have done to the car is blow the rear end, tranny, or motor... or all three. and all three of which are a dime a dozen. if it makes you feel better i sold the car for $350 with an electrical issue.

  • You will probably go in hell for not taking care of this car

  • @CanadaBigBill - Gotta get the carbon out of that old grandma babied motor somehow.

  • you should see TCs in the snow. my 91 is great at burnouts

  • the old town cars are made for stunt driving!

  • 1989 Lincoln Towncar!!!!!!!!!!! FTW!!!!!!!

  • cool car man gota save em before there all gone !!

  • the newer town cars have a v8 with 239 horespower , they need a new engine

  • lol i had a 96 pearl white on white leather town car and whenever it was raining i would pull out onto this 4 lane road sideways...that car was comfortable as hell and had a decent amount of power too

  • i miss my 86 town car. fukin beast

  • As an '88 Town Car driver, I would argue against the generalization of this as a grandparent's car..........if not for the fact my car used to be my grandfather's.

  • first one

  • @mitteey P.O.D. youth of the nation

  • first one

  • what song name

  • @mitteey which song?

  • @MCRmechanic the first one

  • i own one wooohoooo

  • long live rear wheel drive

  • aways a hoot to watch............sweet.

  • btw... theres a video on here of a dude that has an 80's town car... 5.0 thats got so many parts replaced with "lifetime warranty" parts i dont think he'll ever have to pay for a repair again lol.. its got 1.2 or 1.3 MILLION miles on it and still running strong, he drives it back and forth across the country and is the original owner....just somethin for lincoln haters to chew on lol

  • i use to have a 1986 that i got for just $200 in like new condition with the exception of a radiator that had a hole in it and a single power window that didnt wanna work...psh easy fixes, had those like new in no time...lol was too good of a deal, got rid of it tho when i went in the army, now wishin i still had it as my 2nd car

  • the 70s had more style and class. the 80s look like a boring crown vic

  • I'd say thats hardly beating on it...these cars are very well built and can handle this all day long, blowing out tires after tires...nice old classic lincolns with surprising pep for a big car.

  • yeah someday in the spring cause where i live we have about 2 feet of snow, but his monte has a 350 V8 not the 305 V8 with S10 gears in the back town car is stock

  • I have a 88 towncar my bro has a 85 monte ss and we raced down the highway i knew i wasnt going to win but as a shock to both of us i had him from 0-60 it was after that the monte pulled away but the town car kept with him speedo goes upto 80 and it was wrapped to 20 and still going to go

  • yah, those 85 monte's are emitioned to the hilt. sounds like a pretty strong town car tho. post a vid of you two head to head. i'd like to see it.

  • i totally argee these cars where built too many people think they are grandma cars but they got balls 0-60 in 8.5 seconds

  • I agree also. I'm 19 and I wish I had an 84 town car. To me the 84 was the best of the 80's town cars. My uncle had an 84 but he sold it and my grandma had an 85 but we sold it after she passed away. They were big, had alot of room and power, comfortable, they float like a butterfly and they were all metal and no plastic on the exterior. Great cars.

  • @gcrebel2008 well, i wish i could hang on to her but i don't have room for it. I'm trying to get $500 for it, but no takers yet. she's a good girl. i hope the new owner won't demo it.

  • @MCRmechanic your trying to get rid of a lincoln for 500? Im interested. contact me. thanks

  • this is what i say to make me love this car. its a giant box of steel with a

V8 and does burnouts like its on ice

  • my dads got an 01 mercury gand marquis. pin that thing and it only spins the one tire for like 2 seconds. comfy though

  • my CVPI will do that, but as soon as it hits 2nd or higher, both light up

  • Awesome video guys!!!!!!!!!!! my grandfather had an 86 mercury grand marqies!! same big boat like your lincoln. 5.0 motor now i got some ideas!!!!! LOL!!!!!!!

  • @xxtmarxx Dude, these cars are bad ass. huge and comfy with every comfort imagineable for 1980's era. and they have a 5.0, so you can put mustang parts on them and make some decent power... then you'll really impress people. post a vid if one of your ideas comes to life ;)

  • man, that was damn good driving for a 1984 lincoln. that reminds me of when i had an 85 cutlass when i was 16. i threw it in neutral, revved it to the max then put in in drive, bad ass burnout. now im 26 and have a LS Lincoln

  • I got an 86 myself. never tried a burnout...some doughnuts in the snow though :-)

  • Great Car man You Be surprise what old school cars can do man.. Great Vid

  • thanks man. she's a hefty old beast, but she can still boogy.

  • "this is our big pile of shit" LOL! great movie!

  • haha, gotta love the norwegian.

  • What for music plays in the beginning?

  • P.O.D. "youth of the nation"... it's also written elsewhere in the comments.

  • I think its bad that it a nice car and its getting ran like that.. HOWEVER.. it is not my vehicle nor anyone elses other than the owner, so they decide what to do with it.. we're all guilty of doing it :)

  • haha, i tell ya, it was a blast making this video. I got the car for free (technically) and it still runs as good as the day I got it. thanks for checking out my vid.

  • what pile of shit, show some respect, that's a hell of a car, a classic

  • I'm glad you decided to take a look anyway :) many people have enjoyed this video so far. Sorry you didn't feel the same way. If you'de like to buy the car, it is for sale. I'm asking $1000. it has a rebuilt engine and recent tune up. peace bro

  • wow, good deal, but i live in cali, u should just keep the car its a classic

  • no room and need the money. i have too many cars already and this one's the most boring so it got picked as the one to go.

  • ahh, just curious what other cars u got, maybe i can help u decide to keep this one an sell another one, i suggest keep the classic

  • i have:

    1963 AMC Rambler Classic 550

    1965 Ford Mustang: 289 w/ 4 speed manual

1974 Econoline 200 camper van (family heirloom and gift, can't sell)

1997 Mitsubishi Eclipse (daily driver 35mpg)

    and, of course, the lincoln.

  • wow, hard decision, i would go with eclipse but that's ur daily driver, umm, an the camper heirloom, dam, then i gotta say keep em all but if i have to pick it would be eclipse, but thats just me i love American cars

  • well, the good thing about the lincoln is that if I decide sometime down the road that i want one again, they're pretty easy to come by in good condition.

  • wow lucky you, where i live there's rarely any

  • perfec song

  • I thought so lol. Fuel is the best burnout soundtrack haha. thanks for the view man. peace.

  • nice video

  • thanks man. I had a lot of fun making it.

  • looked fun.

  • Thats a bad ass lookin town car! I got me an 86 with the 5.0 ill keep that thing forever.

  • HAHAHAHA!!!!! Taras you crazy mother fucker! HAHAHAHA!!!

  • haha, yup. we had fun doing that shit

  • So, any car can burn out on dirt.. A 3-cylinder Geo can burn out on dirt. Good thought, though.

  • of course any car can burn out on dirt... that's why i did this video on tar charlie. Good thought, though.

  • Again, basically any rear-wheel drive car can break-torque on tar. :]

  • I'm missing the reason why you're informing me of this. I was just surprised it would do it cuz it's such a detuned, worn out car.

  • that car is freakin sweet i love them ol lincoln towncars they run forever

  • she's a beast, haha. too bad they're only 120ish horsepower. thanks for the comment.

  • listed at 240FT-LBS of torque though.

302ci 5.0L Same exact engine as you'll find in the same year mustang GT 5.0.

might say yeah any car car break traction on pavement. But a towncar does it with ease. notice how the engine doesn't sound like its struggling.

Ought to try a reverse 180. but you'll have to flip it from R to D. A hard thing to do with a towncar shifter lol. but theres so much weight up front the damn things swing round like a boat anchor.

  • true, but that was when it was new... my dad pulled the motor and put new rod and main bearings in it... he didn't take the time to get the torque specs so he guessed... and torqued to 35 ft. lbs. the actual spec for rod bearings is 18 - 20, so the motor is TIGHT... plus it had a bad lifter and a dead miss. i'm lucky if she's makin 180 ft. lbs.

i will def try the reverse-to-first.... those are fun. (as long as i don't tear out the rear end :) )

  • Most often the misses on my buddies towncar were from the distributer(hope i spelled that right) contacts getting corroded. hit it up with some sand paper on the 8 tips and the spinning thing. Runs like a champ after that for the next year or so til you have to do it again.

Just don't jump towncars. they dont take to well to that.

  • haha, not to come off the wrong way but I'm a mechanic, hence the name. it has a dead miss beacuse one cylinder has low compression (broken or fried rings i'm guessing). New distributor cap, rotor, spark plugs and wires were installed when the rod and main bearings were installed. Thanks for the advice about jumping it. I wasn't planning on it, but always good to know. If you have any automotive related questions, just ask, i'll be glad to help.

  • whoever doesnt like those old land yachts is messed up in the head. 5/5

  • I might be gettin' a '91 grand marquis in a couple days. black with maroon interior. $800 w/ 96,000 miles and zero rust. runs strong as an ox too. thanks for checkin out the vid and the rating. peace bro

  • Hell yeah leadfoot, looks like hella fun hammering on that big ass Lincoln! 5 stars bro!

  • thanks for checkin out the vid bro. It's summer again, so keep an eye out for some upcoming vids of the 'ol lincoln.

    p.s. appreciate the 5 star

  • Yea, I think it will be good. What glass pack?? I think it will give you bit of power.

Well, Have fun to change the carb.

Did you know about the car can run on water?? That also give you another 15 to 25 or more horse power.

    Do you like old car?

  • Nice Car!!

  • thanks man... I'm thinkin about some glasspacks and some motor upgrades. i might even switch it to a 4V carburator instead of toilet bowl (throttle body) injection and a decent air-gap intake. that'll bump the power up a little bit. what do u think?

  • That has a 5.0 right? use a Mustang 5.0 intake should bolt in give you more launch

  • too expensive. not only would i have to buy a used and working 5.0 mustang upper and lower intake, mass air flow sensor, and oxygen sensors, but i'd also have to have the ECU for the multiport fuel injection. way too much work and money. A decent 4 barrel intake and carb combo will be just as good, if not better if i tune it right for the heads and exhaust, but it's also way more cost effective. The car isn't worth that much money, haha

  • Sweet Burn out dude! What is the name of the two songs?

  • Thanks man. The first song is "Youth of the Nation" by P.O.D. and the second song is "Fuel" by Metallica. Fuel is the best burnout soundtrack ever, haha

  • power baby raw power

  • sorry to post this here, I have a 1988 town car, I need the converter and the gear box!!! I am located in europe, romania. where can I get one....

  • I got an 1984 TC myself, shown some stupid kids with there civic's what grandpas car can do!

    -Strumem90

  • nice! throw up a video. it'd be great if u had one of u blowing the doors off a civic :D

  • Awesome!! Hey, what is the song at the beginning?

  • "Youth of the Nation" written and performed by P.O.D.

thanks for checking out the video mate! rate it!

  • No, I think it would be a great idea haha. It'd make it have a little more power and it would give it a better sound.

  • haha nice video and nice music

  • Thanks man! I'm thinkin of putting some glass packs on it and giving the motor a little more steam... think it would be a waste of time?

  • thats no big pile of shit u guys got there. thats a badass. even more so with those burnouts you got goin. i got an 84 continental myself.

  • haha, thanks man. i was surprised it pulled off the burnout like it did.

oh, and for the record, my norwegian friend called it a pile of shit (seen in the video) not me.

  • p.s. i was thinkin of putting some glass packs on it and giving the motor a little more steam... think it would be a waste of time?

  • glass packs? i dont think i heard of those

  • search it on wikipedia

  • hey thanks for reposting as I had it fav'd by tarasmike and they took it down......love this vid! sweet.....peace out

  • actually, i am Tarasmike... I got rid of my old account. thanks for the comment, the vid was a blast to make :)

  • No 85 here. A 84 or 83 perhaps?

  • good call... it is indeed an '84.
