I'm not sure AronRa (or other YouTube-o-philes) is qualified to answer these questions. Richard Dawkins covers the "eyeball" and other topics very elegantly in Blind Watchmaker and God Delusion. Dawkins is a fairly hard-ass anti-religion type, but don't let that put you off, he really does fairly expain the current scientific position. If you think science is moving too fast ahead (the New Testament smoothly evolved), this may be to compensate for the 400 year delay during the Inquisition.

Evolution is limited to the scientific explanation of how life on earth diversified AFTER it started... there are several other sciences that investigate the origin of life, the origin of the universe, etc. etc. But the average evolutionary biologist... being a 'biologist' and not a chemist, geologist, physicist, cosmologist etc...wouldn't have the first clue about the nature of matter!

The eye is so useful, it has evolved independantly multiple times. Starts off with light sensitive cells which give creatures like worms a warning when they are in daylight and therefore in danger. Second comes a cup, which gives an organism a sense of direction of light, then comes the closing of the cup which forms a pinhole lens. The rest is just an advancement on those attributes.
