Just so you know, 2 Tim 4:6-8 has nothing to do with the "rapture." If you read it in context, you will see that it is about Paul's imminent death at the hands of the Romans.

And though those who are still alive who believe will be comforted in their great distress, Paul is not referring to that day. It would be impossible to complete His plan for Israel while the church is still on Earth under His Gospel as given by the Apostle Paul. We as Christians should know that this can only be the rapture coming before the tribulation. Paul was speaking about being caught up to meet the Lord in the air with all the other saints. The verse can have no other meaning. Paul was envisioning his resurrection.

While we journey here, we do get homesick. We can learn to "bring home to us" until it is time for us to take that last step of our Journey. My Grandfather use to say the longest journey begins with the first step. As we keep taking steps here on our Journey, may we always keep our eyes on our eternal home until we have taken the final step of our Journey and hear the words, "Good work my faithful loved one, enter in!"
