One of my favorite fusion albums of all time. Great playing all around and Dennis Chambers/ Gary Grainger are masters at making tricky turn feel so effortless !!
One of the hardest breaks I've heard in any song, besides Inca Roads from Frank Zappa, a piece I love to practice to, incredible for practicing and getting good chops.
Dear Lord. These cats can rock those instruments like no one else. There are many great musicians out there but this is hot!!! The accents at :48 thru 1:02 and also 4:19 thru 5:39 are outta this world. True musicians in every sense of the loosely used word in today's world.
Saw him do this live w/ this particular band...They were / are awesome..His improv is great!! Dennis is the superbo tight drummer too..."Still Warm" album is still a classic though...Love this guys stuff...such a cool sound...
I totally agree with you that Still Warm(yes my username is taken from this song/album) has the most memorable tunes. imo: picks and pans, protocol, (which REALLY rock on the pick hits live CD)techno, still warm, high and mighty and rule of thumb.
great grooves and playing!
Loud Jazz didn't have that many gems. this one(the title tune) Spy vs Spy, Tell You What and Otay, imo.
This is like pizza with nutella and some exotic fruits and hot milk mixed together :D
