Wow 6 years girly! Wow I been 2 years and 11 months and 3 weeks! About to go on 3 years and my hair is exactly your length probably a little bit further! Just so you know hair grows a different rates! Don't let people discouraged you! Vitamins does helped, it sure does help my hair! I take the Hair skin and nails vitamins along with my mutlivitamins! Vitamins are like putting in nutrients back into our body that sometimes we can't get from food! Hope I helped!By the way yeah shrinkage is a beast

I think if you cowash you should still shampoo sometimes. When you have all that product on your hair cond alone is not going to clean it out, therefore its still dirty. Sulfate free shampoos get the job done w-out stripping your hair.

@ nyarbeinghi-I had my locs in for 3 years and took them out in March. You will shed more than normal until you get a VERY good trim. All those ends have to come off. (also take into consideration the health of your hair..everyone is different so your shedding NOT be abnormal unless u see bald spots or breakage) I noticed it tangled a lot too so if you notice a lot of knotting even after you've combed it out go get a trim. I didn't want to lose a lot o

I think I"m shedding too much hair then. Because I had locks in for the last almost 6 years, took the out February 2011. And I think my hair is still in 'lock mode' per say. My locks were at my waist but I think my shedding is twice what your one week is. I don't know what to do about it, except wait for my hair to recognise they're not locked anymore

I noticed that you showed a couple of conditioner you used. Do you use shampoo to wash your hair? I have recently stopped useing shampoo because it dries my hair alot. I only use conditioner and tea tree oil when i am going to wash my hair. do you think a no-shampoo method is ok for natural hair?

Love your video's, we have the same texture hair. When I saw your video I was like YES! I have no idea what to do with my hair. I have not been sleeping in a scarf. I do not put moisturizer in my hair. Just wash and condition. I was wondering what I was doing wrong. Of course my hair has been growing, I have been natural for a year as of November. Someone told me it took 3 years for her normal length to grow back. So in the mean time. I am loving my hair, and you are my new best friend. :)
