@conefcol000 Typically, the first note on a trumpet would be a D- two sharps, and I think that will work well. I think that Louis' version is in a different key though, but usually it is D.

Oh! You know your music. New Orleans is one of my fav haunts. My uncle played the trumpet professionally in Chicago in the 40/50's. I attemtped it cuz he was my idol. louis and his band played at a ballroom in benld, illinois around 1954 and only took

three 10 minute breaks in a 4 hour set. he had 6 pieces playing while other musicans

and supprt people slept in a bus out in the parking lot. we danced every number'
