You can't sustain america economy with low paying, low wage jobs....you got to have skilled labor and manufacturing jobs.50,000 mcdonalds jobs and service industry jobs aren't going to cut it....
The bottom line is money....these companies cheap labor...they put americans out of work....and ship jobs overseas....and expect the people they put out of work to buy their products. Then the shit has poor quality and don't last very long....just face it skilled labor is dying....skilled laborers and master craftsmen who made quality products right here in America.
It's honorable work, & it's been the backbone of America. Well at least up until the top level people in the food-chain sold the Middle-Class out, for a huge short term profit for themselves,
America became an economic and military superpower because we make things. It was the industrial revoluation in this nation that helped us win World War 1 & 2, and god help this country if we face another war like those wars. Right now we rely on a communist country to make our things, and we're borrowing billions of dollars from that same communist country. All the while that communist country has been stealing our military technology for the last 10 years.
I'm for tax breaks for employers who invest in technology to keep manufactoring jobs here. There is no reason we can't compete with the inferior crap coming out of China or any other part of the world.I think that we need government to work closely with American manufactures.I'm tried of seeing companies pulling up stakes in the middle of the night. That has been going in the USA for the last 40 years. All Americans have seen burgeoning trade deficits ever since.I pledge allegiance to our flag.
Obvious problem. I would venture further to say that office jobs could soon be dramatically reduced or replaced by computer programs. After all, the user is merely interfacing with the machine.
And since it is such a blatant problem, what do we plan to do about it? Rely on the good sense and ethics of corporations to hire local at the expense of short term gains? Doubtful. Government will have to step in here and impose some kind of tariff on outsourcing. We are out of sustainable equilibrium.
