mate dbx58bt all the way 6 dimms for ddr3 up too 2333mhz and it takes quad crossfire whop whop and btw ive got 900w i surgest atleast 700w but if you gunna get rig get intel bx58bt best board on the market and its under 400£ ati=ftw:) fuck nvidia
500 Watt or greater power supply with two 75W 6-pin PCI Express® power connectors recommended (600 Watt and four 6-pin connectors for ATI CrossFireX™ technology in dual mode)
Yes that will work, you could even run 2 of them with 550 watts but thats the lowest you could go with crossfire. But it will run one of them just fine.
I suppose it works all right but there is not much support for them for overclocking and such.. lets just say i wouldnt buy it again but i suppose it works good otherwise.
I just orded a Dell XPS with the a Core i7 2.93ghz, 12G of DDR3 RAM, 2 1T hard drives, A Blu-Ray/DVD+R/RW Burner, and 2 Dell 30inch ultraSharp Widescreen 3008WFP Displays.
Yea that is definetly a good computer, however if i were you i would wait for windows 7 to come out. It should be out within a couple of months and is much better than vista so thats the only advice i would give
ok great :) yeah i don't like windows vista either so im gonna get windows xp sp2 and maybe download sp3 later ... and when windows 7 comes out i'll give it a try :)
any other suggestions ? do i need to change something or add anything ?
getting an intel corei7 920, intel dx58SO, ati radeon hd 4870 1gb, 4gb ddr3 ram, 22'' samsung t220hd monitor. will i play any game at maximum right??????
hey wat do u think of q9550 wid 4870 1gb?? is it gud 4 high end games like gta 4?? plus i got an abit ix38 mothrboard 4gigs of ram.. u think i shud add nything more 2 get out 100% of gaming?!! really appreciate ur commnt on dis..
As far as not having any problems and working just fine, the motherboard is good. But if you are looking to overclock and things like that, i would not recommend this motherboard. They really dont let you do anything as far as that goes. However, they do have a program to overclock the intel products but they havent gotten it to work with this one yet but it says they are working on it. So i would recommend it if you just want a good working motherboard but not if your a hardcore overclocker.
With your BOXDP45SG mobo, are you thinking about getting another graphics card for Crossfire? I'm thinking about using that mobo for a build I'm doing for my little brother...
In the future i may get another card, right now with this card it is more than enough to run all the current games and it would just be a waste of money to get 2 of them. But the mobo has been good so far and i havent had any problems with it.
Well, the card is 9.5" long and a little less than 10" with the power cables coming out the back. So you will have to measure your case and see is it will be hitting anything.
Im going to put this in my dell e521 along with a 650w powersupply, the computer guy told me that if i did, i could basically run anything.

@MarcoThe961 I really don't recommend gaming with a laptop. Parts are more expensive and its much harder to keep it all cool.

if i buy 2 of these and crossfirex them do i have to download some patches for some games that i can use the crossfire for good
putsipa 2 years ago
Nope you should not need to download anything additional for crossfire to work with your games, it should work right away just fine.

go for an i7 provessor, an ddr3 ram. If you do go i7, get an asus p6t.
Your motherboard should be better.
Also, get 2 hard drives with raid 0
