gaps don't always need to be filled, it's just a statistic that some like to be aware of. Follow the trend, not the gaps.

If it's true that 90% of stocks that GAP up will eventually "fill the GAP" in a few days, then couldn't some investors just short the majority of GAP UPS ? then cover when they drop down 5% - 7% in the next several days ?
