"Finjaan": another word acting in polish language which actually came from the days of old. I accord to your explains about the roots of a words you sometimes do in your video clips. Polish word for the "finjaan" is "filiżanka" (pronounce as english: fee-lee-jan["J" as in French Joan]-ka).
Shay: our Russian and Czech brothers says: "tchay", but Polish name is "herbata" which actually sounds for me as arabic. Greetings for you, Maha!
We arabs do not believe in "reading/seeing the future". People do the readings are either having fun, or if they really believe in it are ignorant. A small note though, only a few amount of people do this, not the majority; at least not where I come from.
seekeena is like the word in maltese ''sikkina'' pronounced the same, and fork: shawka is like ''xewka'' in maltese which means something pointed that can hurt you - in fact you said it as well: thorn of a rose.....
Maha, I most like your interactive arabic language learning programmes in youtube. I have been searching for a long time, since the internet is still not "booming" like now. but finally, i find you. thanks for everything you share. for your information, I am Indonesian, I usually interest to learn arabic. I am Indonesia nature speaker. hope you still develop that programme, and share to us. we are your audience that have benefit from you. thank you again. syukran, ma'asalama
Thanks again so much for your contributions to those of us learning Arabic with you. I have a request. Can you please do a video on انيت؟. I have gone thru many of your vids & I have not seen a lesson on it yet. I would be most grateful. May Allah reward you&improve your condition. Amin.
Hello Maha! I am in Arabic 1 at my high school and want to learn even more! Do you have any suggestions for workbooks or programs that would be good to learn from? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your wonderful videos!
maha, what dialect are you using when your teaching Arabic? I am an American born Lebanese and know the language somewhat not fluent though. Your words seem to be much more gutteral than in Lebanese. One example is your word of coffee we say "ahwee" and you say "quafee" . But enjoy your series.
It's because the Lebanese dialect doesn't pronounce the letter Qaph as a guttural hard G or Q. But, rather, you guys pronounce it as an "...'A.." sound. Like a guttural "A" sound. You know when you say "uh'oh"...I'm talking about the sound you here between 'uh' and 'oh'...the "pause" sound. LOL did I confuse you yet? :)
Yes, this is very useful. A frying pan is also called a skillet. We could use a rolling pin. Maybe you could make a simple dish that is very common and teach us the ingredients also.
i love ur tshirt where did u get it!?!

In dialectal arabic from Algeria '(and I think from all arab maghreb) we use the word finjal (with final L) for cup and we say sahna (for plate)
