The fina car looks like it's based on a RS500 (ex-btcc?) with a stock front bumper. It's got side exit exhaust and looks like it's close to 500bhp, even in slow-mo. I agree the others definately aren't RS500's.

The Fina cars was Ford motorsport of Belgium's works entries, driven by Robert Droogman and Ronny Joosten. Both cars were based on ordinary 3 door Sierra Cosworths but built to Group A rules, meaning they were restricted in power, weight and various other things. They would have had not much more than 300bhp. As far as i know, none of the Sierras used were actually RS500s because the rules for Group A meant there was no point in using an RS500.

Seems the RS500's mostly saw action in BTCC/WTCC. Now that I know it was a works team, you must be right about the bhp as well :-)

clearly you dont,powerslide is caused by going to fast in to the corner then steering into the slide, your referring to a e-brake drift,any drift looks cools anyway that the main point,rwd cossie drifts aare possible even on 4wd models by removing the front half shafts ,or grippy front tyres and worn rear,i can drift a fwd car (with warn rear tyres &g rippy front,try it yourself,its just rwd are much more fun & u need a decent lsd

It's painfully obvious that POWERslides are just that, sliding due to a lot of power on the rear wheels during acceleration. Drifting on the other hand is momentum induced, it's the kind of slide that is made with the handbrake, footbrake, letting off the gas, steering wildly etc. The kind of slide all cars can do, high or low powered, rear front or all wheel driven.

Any time you keep the car going sideways is a powerslide. You dont need the 'e-brake' to do it, which I presume is what you call the handbrake. Just get a rear wheel drive car with plenty of power and step on the gas when cornering, or just unsettle when on the limit of grip.
