  • the salt ruins it...black pepper would have been better...all the seasonings already contain salt

  • Chili is one of my favorite foods but no one in my house knows how to make it. Im gunna have to try this

  • This chili was da bomb!!! I have made chili in the past and it was gross....this is the first time I made chili and I wanted to lick the bowl!!!!

  • I love her personality.

  • I just made this for my family and we were so surprised. You just proven to think outside of the box when cooking does not hurt the taste buds!! I was really skeptical ecspecially being of a West Indian background we love spices but chocolate. If your watching this video just try it. Yummi

  • She is awesome! Chocolate, cinnamon, and spicy peppers are seen often in Mexican Moles. Those recipes often also include twenty other ingredients. This is a honed cook who knows her stuff. Big up's girl. Keep cooking. By the way, Ground deer meet would be the best substitute for Turkey in this recipe. The spices and chocolate would cut the "gaminess" of the venison.

  • haha, it's funny, i made my chili and while it was simmering i came onto here to see if i could compare recipes, and i practically did the exact same thing as you did!

  • Very strange.

  • How do you think red wine would work instead of adding water?

  • chocolate boost the chili flavour. chilli boost the chocolate flavour.. =)) for non deserts, more chilli, less chocolate( alittle) = wonderful. for desert, more chocolate, little chili (pinch) =))

  • sounds like its going to taste like mole

  • Chocolate-chipotle-turkey-chili? My goodness!!!!

  • the funny thing is I just made turkey chili but only cause I didnt have any beef and its taste great..Yours looks great though..never thought to put chocolate in it though

  • looks good. i've always put chocolate in my chili. it works!

  • i made this again... my favorite recipe!!!!

  • Looks great! Thanks!

  • did you see i dedicat toyou

  • yummmmm

  • Hi Heather,

your Chili looks great and i am sure it tastes fantastic. I hope i have the Chance to cook it soon.

Yor are really cool and seem to be very nice.

I really like your reaction when you try your finished dish. That is so sweet :-)

    Thank you,

    Zara

  • very interesting flavor profile.

    bravo

  • This sounds so yummy I cant wait to try it. You are a great cook :-)

    Great video

  • We use cumin in a lot of Moroccan recipes. Your chili sounds deelish!! I'm so glad I stumbled upon your great videos:)!!

  • I made the chili this week and it was great.

I really like your videos :).

  • MMMMmmmmm Heather - that looks awesome!

And a lot of Mexican dishes used chocolate. Bitter chocolate. Look at Chicken Mole for example!

    Great dish hon!

    XOX

  • lol at "nobody wants cinnamon dusted chili". that looks so delicious. i am defintely going to try that when super bowl time comes instead of traditional ground beef. and the chocolate idea sounds great!

  • turkey chili is DELISH!

  • i ALWAYS put cinnamon in my chilli...

very common in middle eastern cooking

  • I must admit I balked when she added the cinnammon. Is it very strong in a dish like this or will it blend in with the general spiciness of the dish? I want to try this!

  • As i said before cinnamon is common in any middle eastern dish. It's fine, honestly...live a little and try it

  • This was really interesting! Although I've never used chocolate, I do incorporate cinnamon and cloves form warm. I can't handle really spicy foods. How well would cocoa powder do?

  • "for warmth"

  • It might work, but add a little bit at a time because too much might add a bitter quality. - HJ

  • YUM!!!!! this looks so gud! i luv it! chocolate was cool love new things!

  • Im curious Heather. your jamaican grandparents, mother or fathers side ?

  • Both sides. All from St. Elizabeth. Take care, hj

  • I really liked this recipe. I switched the sour cream for cool whip though. YUM!

  • similar to my recipe except i also use

paprika, some stock and a bit of beer and

    vinegar

  • I sooo want to try this... I mean I love the idea of turkey but chocolate... wow... blockbuster...

  • the giants are going to crush the patriots, by the way

  • I was right

  • وشو

  • Im definitely doing this for the game

  • Wow, that was really nice and quick! I'm gonna try it! :)

  • I'm in love with this lady!!!!!! Can someone tell me if she's single or not???

  • Wow, chocolate in chili? Why not.

  • looks yummy....I love ground turkey but I've never used it in my chili. I'm definitely gonna try this recipe :)

  • Like your show. Question, can i use something other than turkey (as i cant get minced turkey here) and if so what would be best?

  • Sure, lean ground beef would be a good substitute for the turkey in this recipe.

  • DELICIOUS!

i'm not much of a sports fan myself, but i'm going to be making this anyway!

    splendid video, as always!

  • You deserve more subscribers.

  • Sounds really good !

  • I've got to try the chocolate in my next batch of chili. Interesting.
