I think the world of transportation is at a very interesting and challanging phase. It will take a convincing ride like this to change the Hyandai name to something the upper\mid class would be proud to sport. Now they should look towards producing a budget supercar. If successful, Hyandai could be branding their name into next gen enthusiests.This may be step one for North American street cred.
Its a nice classy car and im happy to see it doesnt carry the same ugly hyundai badge. For the price its amazing but it's still kind of embaressing to tell ppl u drive a hyundai just becuz of the image the company put in ppl's head for the last 10-15 years with their little low quality cars. Who ever has that has been inside the interior of the Lexus LS460,LS600H will be surprised to find that the Equaas interior is quite nasty and horribly designed and put together..
If I want a small economical car thats solid and reliable I'll get a Hyundai Elantra, over any Toyota or Honda. If I want a luxury car with all the goodies and great performance I'll get a Lexus or any of the German heavyweights. Hyundai makes good cars but I'd never dole out the money to buy anything more than an Elantra.

The Genesis and the Equus does not have cloth seats they used leather seats. In fact the seats in the Genesis and Equus uses a ultraviolet reflective leather, which I dont think BMW nor Lexus sports. Hyundai is a premium brand so why would Hyundai use leather seats and real wood in their economy, compact, and family sedans? Toyota and Honda doesnt do that. Chrome? I never seen a BMW or a Lexus use chrome, all I ever seen was brushed metals.
Real wood is offered in true luxury brands. Hyundai isnt a full on luxury brand, Hyundai is a premium brand that has luxury models just like Toyota, Honda, and Nissan. my father drives this car in korea and he drive a BMW 7 series in america, this car is good as i said but of course BMW is better in many aspects as BMW is one more prestigious and interior wise it is better but the chairman is a great car if you want to spend more around 60,000 rather than the 7 series BMW for 120,00 but of course the BMW price is with ALL options and the hundai is msrp so just some car help

The lexus LS460 is the only car to score 99. The Hyundai Genesis scored 92. European luxury brands cant even hit the 80s.

agreed on one point its far from being luxury today, and hyundai themselves says that u dont have to say it for them, and yes they do use cheaper materials, i.e. cloth instead of leather seats, aluminum trim instead of chrome, plastic or imitation wood instead of real wood, lower grade leather or none at all, less powerful engines, less sound cancelling, the list goes on. but while this particular car doesnt have cloths seats it does have cheaper interior matriels as mentioned above.

The Genesis and the Equus does not have cloth seats they used leather seats. In fact the seats in the Genesis and Equus uses a ultraviolet reflective leather, which I dont think BMW nor Lexus sports. Hyundai is a premium brand so why would Hyundai use leather seats and real wood in their economy, compact, and family sedans? Toyota and Honda doesnt do that. Chrome? I never seen a BMW or a Lexus use chrome, all I ever seen was brushed metals.

So a lying British loser goes on about Hyundai quality without even knowing the current Hyundai reliability ratings, & also goes on saying Hyundais are copies, when the current line up of Hyundai cars were designed by Joel P, who has been recently taken by Bec Benz to be the head of design there. Benz certainly did not see Jole's work with Hyundai as copies. Why would they hire him as Head of Design? hahaha...All the British makes went bankrupt & nonare even in the top 5 .Hyundai is 4th.hahaha

But Hyundai is the 4th biggest car company in the world that already owns & makes their own cars that are interenationally competitive& reliable as all the findings prove.
