what settings are you running? i just updated to 2.2, rooted with easy root, and still not able to tether with wifi tether or barnacle wifi.... thanks man

what kernel do you have? all the ones i download on 2.2 make my phone battery not work, it just shows a red battery and a line through it and shuts off

@htsk91 did you update your software to 2.2 or 2.1 recently? or wipe the phone?
