  • @MangaLessons Thank You for replying back to me!! It was very helpful to me :)

  • Im about to buy some copic markers since I've never used them before but I was wondering how long does the ink last?I want to use copic markers on everyone one of my drawings but Im not sure how long they will last before the ink dries.Does it depend on how much you use?

  • @christmaslove99 it does depend on things like how many drawings, your coloring style/technique, etc. In general I found out that they last rather long mm I only really ran out of skin white (E00) after using it as my primary skin tone for roughly 10...? drawings or so of various sizes. Just be careful not to go over already colored parts too much because 1) uses more ink 2) odd texture shows up

  • Can you use other markers other than Copic?

  • @1crazyhedgehog I've used prismacolor before but I don't really like the tips and the ink for them (plus they smell worse xD)

what other markers did you have in mind?

  • @MangaLessons I have Faber Castel. And a few bic

  • @1crazyhedgehog if you mean the bic sharpie type then i would really not recommend them. There are many faber castell markers so I'm not sure which one exactly you mean but I just did a quick google search on them and they don't really look like they'll do the same thing as copics.

  • When you blend, does it change the lighter color's color?

  • @IchigoMariana well actually kind of but not TO much so its ok (hope i helped) :)

  • @IchigoMariana on the page? no. on the marker tip? usually no, unless you color with a super light marker over a not-dry black area or something like that, the tip won't be discolored (but don't worry if it does, stains do not affect the color that comes out)

  • Are Copic Sketch markers the best to use? Because i'm looking to buy some. Thank you

  • @jennamae03 well the ciao and sketch are the same but the sketch holds more ink :) and you have more colors and it doesn't roll around your desktop :)

  • @jennamae03 also sketch can work with the airbrush but that may not matter to you

many beginners though start to use ciao for their hobbies but if you're going for a serious long term investment sketch may be the better choice because they also have more colors in sketch

  • do those markers color over each other pleasse reply?

  • @valsurfskater99 dark colors can cover light colors. Just like any other marker ^^

  • when i try to blend e00 and e02, it doesnt blend at all

  • @yerinable it won't blend that well into each other unless you choose very similar colors (maybe like e00 and e01) try using feather blending to help blend less similar colors together ^^

  • I honestly am unable to afford marker paper, but I'll try to get it if it's extremely paramount. However, I'd like to know if buying the marker paper is completely worth it. As of right now, I'm just using regular printer paper. Please answer my question! :)

  • @DubbleBubble303 its ok to use printer paper but make sure you have another peace of paper (or two) cos they do bleed through the paper soooooo

  • @DubbleBubble303 mm marker paper made a difference for me but I wouldn't it consider it "extremely paramount". At least try to get laser printer paper with a smoother surface if you're on a budget? Otakufuel now sells a 25 pack of the paper I use so maybe try it out once and see how it is. I personally love the stuff and can't go back to printer paper! xD

  • what type of copics is best for manga and anime?

  • @ItsLainGreen all of them but mostly the ciao or sketch :)

  • @ItsLainGreen They have a special comic line out (but only in japan) but the only difference is that the broad tip is a point tip

Technically though all the ink is the same but what is best for illustrations I find it sketch or ciao (sketch over ciao though personally)

  • hey there! I'm about to purchase some of these pens but in the past I've had issues with the line-art leaking into the colours when i go over it :c. Is there a specific kind utensil or media that you use for your line art before adding colour and tone? xxx

  • @Lsizzle666 no.. but different pens bleed differently and I've had the best experience with copic liners but sakura microns have been pretty good to me too ^^

  • U can use the colorless blender to get that ink that came out back into the design.

  • which is better? ciao or sketch? :/ I already have, like, 20 ciaos and spent loads so if sketch r better i think I'm gonna scream @.@

  • @vampivampire ciao's are fine. But why sketches are more expensive and sometimes considered "better".

Sketch: oval shape (doesn't roll around), color name at the cap, more colors, airbrush compatible, holds more ink

Otherwise both: same type of ink, same nibs, refillable, nibs are changeable

  • @MangaLessons i see ^^ thanks for replying

  • @vampivampire sketch are much more expensive, ciaos are smaller so therefore hold less ink, i dont believe theyre refilabble either. But they both use the same ink ^ ^

  • @starltrubymoon i see...I think I'll just stick with ciao until i get rich X3

  • @vampivampire Ciao is what i use, and i think they work really well! ^ ^ people on my debiantart seemed to like a picture i did with them so o3o

  • @starltrubymoon Ok ^^

  • does ink ran out fast?

  • @ShinkuAnimeFan not really, you can color a good bit with these markers. If you're constantly coloring though or if you color a really big picture you may see some markers running low after several pictures (though this also depends on coloring style)

  • @ShinkuAnimeFan I bought like 40, and i found ALL of them went pretty fast..

  • @PrincessZelda002 It really does depend on the coloring style though. I tend not to color very heavily and with quick light strokes so my markers last me a while xD I've only refilled one so far (skin tone)

  • where can you buy copic markers? they look really cool :)

  • @heyheymister i buy mine at otakufuel, there's a link in the description ^^

  • @MangaLessons thanks!! ^_^

  • what type of paper do you use?

  • @PrincessZelda002 zkittyz used copy paper a lot but its not the best. For good blending theres the xpressit blending paper (i think that's how its spelled) and there's also manga paper (like deleter etc.) and bristol smooth cardstock (sold in local art stores unlike the previous 2 listed)

  • What type of paper should you use?

  • do u need any special papers? or can u use regular blank papers?

  • great lesson!

  • Ace! lovely blend

  • where can i find copic markers i dont care how expecsive they are

  • @sexylilanimekisses Buy.com or E-bay andifyouwanttobuy1by 1 go to Michaels

  • @hlwtsb Buy.com or E-bay and if you want to buy1 by 1 go to Michaels

  • @sexylilanimekisses Usually any hobby or craft stores will have them. If not you can order them online of course. However, they are REALLY exspensive. They're about 7$ per marker.

  • I LOVE Copic Markers, but they are SOOOOO expensive. lol. Does anyone know where I can find alot of them for cheap?

  • hmm copic markers are wonderful... except for when they blurr out inked areas. Great video... and you have a wonderfully animated voice.

  • ummmmm.................. this might sound really weird but would copic markers be good for blendings socks on a horse???

  • are drawing on copic paper or plain white paper???

  • @heyken228 there is copic paper?! :O kewl. :)

  • omigosh! you're left-handed just like me!!

  • can this work with any alcohol based graphic marekr ??

  • @passionformusic000 I've only tried Copics so I don't know

  • @MangaLessons I have used another set of alcohol based markers and they blend very well

  • @MangaLessons What are copics?

  • @BedTimeProductions11 You can read my copic tutorial on mangalessons. com or go to my zkittyz channel and watch my copic tutorial. :)

  • @passionformusic000 ya they worker fine thanks :) :)

  • @passionformusic000 yes - it works with 'letraset pro-markers' and i think pretty much all alcohol markers are the same. It's easier to blend with the brush tips though (my pro-markers don't have them) :(

  • @passionformusic000 yes most likely

  • @passionformusic000 Yes but copic are the best in my opinion.

  • were'd youu buy the markers?

  • nice vid :3

but I'm wondering if the lighter colour will become a bit darker because of that blending you know? cause normal light pens become darker if u draw over dark colours D:

  • @xShizue The lighter color does get a but darker because i put on a second layer of the light color, which makes it darker. But it doesn't make the nib darker if that's what you mean :)

  • @MangaLessons ah yea i meant that, sorry my english sucks >o<

o rly? lmao im afraid to try it !! haha.

  • :3 yey

  • amazing..:D

  • Awesome vid as always!! tfs!

  • More copic tutorials please!!!

  • i love your bows soooo much! what kind of markers are these?

  • @MoonShoesPotter28 Copic Markers Omg Why don't you read the title????

  • @KailasProject calm down. i just meant what are these? so just shut up.

  • @MoonShoesPotter28 Well sorry if I upset ya little mate! XD I'm just tired and tired so please ignore me if I'm speaking nonsense... So Copic Markers are the best Markers u can get (at least that's what a lot of pople say...) but that's because they make your work easier or something like that. It's not like you couldn't make that by your own way (and much cheaper ya know...). ZKittyZ has a video like that if you want to find out more about them. :) Sorry again. :D

  • Best blending tutorial

Oh the bow would look so cute on one of my characters, so can I use it?

    I don't want copyright issues so I'm asking u

  • Very nice video, I have found that Colored pencils work very similar in that you have to go back over the whole thing with the lighter color to get the darker to blend right.

  • im going to try to get the same look with pencils and pencils and markers :D

  • K00L

    :DDDD
