I remember the demo for this was Pacific Sprint with the GT90. I used to play that over and over until I finally got the full game. I miss the GT90 I wish it was in NFS:HP[2010]

the best car for any track except for outback and proving grounds would be the low geared high downforce rear biased brake Pioneer Ford indigo.

handling, acc, speed, braking all equal to a f1 car.

Need For Speed as how I remembered it. Good Times. Funny thing is that i live in Vancouver (which is where this track is set). And it's sooo different here. That whole beach part is really an urban area with expensive apartments. The mountainous highway is really a motorway.

@woila123 on XP you'd have to use some sort of Glide wrapper to get the game to detect your graphics card properly. Just search on google for that. Also you might need to run the games's .exe in windows 95 compatibility mode, just right click the .exe for the main game and select properties, and under compatibility select runas and then Windows 95 or whatever version the game reccomends, might want to try 640 x 480 resolution aswell.

Hmm, I don't think so. Simul. was really cool for me, I had not problem with handling (after few hours of training :-) and also it was really nice drivin. Not so unreally fast like "wild" or "arcade" mode. And there were possibilities for skids :-)

You can drift on 'arcade' mode, by using handbrake which I do all the time. 'Wild' mode is just lame. I never use that one.

you could try ebay. EA re-issued it several times in the past under there "classic series" and in bundle form. if your lucky you might still be able to run into it in a jewel case at best buy or elsewhere.

Effects from the 3Dfx version. You'll surely find an emulator if you look for one (like glide wrapper for instance, but I'm not sure it's the only one nor the best ...)

Yes EA has been struggling to get NFS back to life. It became very popular with UG series, but only in short term. In long term, when the whole ricing fever was over, that image of the series in public's minds ruined the series.

Most wanted brought it back to life, and Carbon ruined it again.

NFS Prostreet however, is a Semi-SIM game (just like the first NFS), designed for racing enthusiastics, with tons of good features that I cant fit into 500 characters. and also, the McLaren F1 is back.

You can't get it for NFSII, but you can on NFSII SE. You have to download the dgvoodoo pack from wherever, install it in your NFS2 directly. Then, go to your NFSII SE CD folder and copy NFS2SEA(dot)exe and paste it in your main NFSII SE drive.
