There never has been one single swimmer who won the race despite being placed in the first lane.....until Park!!!
He overcame all the waves made by players in the inner lanes AND the waves that reflected from the outer wall.
Park easily could have broken the world record by Biedermann (3:40) if he were placed in the inner lanes, but still.. he was amazing, and we shall all look forward to London next year!
@dpflzk The Outside lanes are the fastest lanes. The one extra unoccupied lane beside him allows water to dissipate therefore reducing "waves" from getting in his way. Stop sucking his dick. There is no way he could have touched the world record no matter what lane he was in. Great swim though.
@RSGuides577 You know, thanks for the technical input, but seriously, watch your language. Don't be so insensitive and please filter beforehand, geesh.
@dpflzk I definitely would not say easily...I highly doubt he could've broken the record.
The only disadvantage of being in an outer lane is having to get out in front of the people in the inner lanes very quickly. because if you don't, you will get alot of waves from the inner pool like you mentioned. He really wasn't eating any waves at all...
his kick rate is insane !

No, he didn't overcome all the waves by other lanes. he was just always the first from the start.

@dpflzk Nah man, he never had to deal with waves because he was always in front!

@dpflzk I believe there should be some wins in lane 1-.-if you watch enough swimming.
For example, Chinese swimmer Luo xuejuan won 2004 Olympic gold metal in 100m breaststroke...in LANE No.1
Check it out man -.-

@dpflzk waves don't reflect off the wall in this kind of a pool, being in a wall lane makes less waves

I HOPE Park erases Biedermann's WR, he doesn't deserve it. Time to put stars back in the record books

@dpflzk except he was basically in front of everyone the entire race and there was an empty lane next to him
