  • do tires come in different colors than black

  • will it work on tires?

  • How long till it wears off? And if you dip it again (2 times instead of 1) would it last longer?

  • @1chukker this will never come off and the longer you soak it the darker it will be

  • @718mattmatt no, but if you strip the black off first it would.

  • can i die a black nylon chassie on my duratrax evader to like blue or navy blue

  • @718mattmatt Nope, you can only dye things to darker colors, not lighter.

  • rit dye works wonders... i dyed my skateboard wheels with the stuff

  • Could you die shocks ( not aluminum threaded )

  • Lxmx97 y would h ask that

  • can you dye tires

  • Ok thnkks

  • Do u think this method works on dying a traxxas stampede 4x4s chasis to blakk?

  • @carlozmrc It does work quite well!

  • @UltimateRCnetwork afterwords does it weaken the plastic

  • I tried to dye(eer re-dye) some Black Dress shirts years ago and it was a Nigthmare!

That's an awesome Shade of OD Green. I always wanted to try out some RPM Dyeable wheels on a T-maxx!

  • does this dye the pot too?

  • Thanks for the tutorial, Jang. My wife dyed her trex skids using this method. Thanks man. I plan to die some of my wheels.

  • two people melted their tires

  • cool

  • Can you put some tape down and die half of a wheel? would that work? say I want to do a half gold, and half black? or would I be better off to just dye a white wheel gold. and the hold the wheel in the dye jut to the point I want black??

  • @bjgw66 use a hot glue gun and put some of the glue in the parts you want to "mask"

  • 2 ppl melted their tires haha

  • How did you remove the chrome? Scraping it off with a knife seems hazardous to me, so how'd you do it?

  • @Nielsjpedersen Acetone. I have a video on that too!

  • could you dye black to bright blue?

  • @justinnhl95 Unfortunately no. You can only dye something to a color darker than it starts off.

  • thanks

  • can you use the dye when its cold cause i have to find a large basin thingy to dye my rustler chassis.

  • can you dye yellow wheels to black? im thinking of dying my yellow proline wabash 40 series to black? is it possible?

  • @Dieselboy805 Yes, absolutely!

  • @UltimateRCnetwork oh ok thanks bro!

  • Its Easter Time. Looks exactly like what I was doing with eggs a few days ago LOL. I wonder if this will work for eggs too. Also vice versa if my egg dye will dye my hobby parts. LOL

  • thats awsome

  • Luckly I have a utility sink:)

  • I sent my gf to buy this dye but target didn't have it so she bought me a different brand names tulip that required 4 tb salt added and guess what it didn't stick at all and all my

Parts were cleaned throughly with that la awesome cleaner lmao

  • well done !!!

  • Would I be able to dye the white springs on my slash 4x4 to a glossy red? I recently bought some acetone to remove the white color from the springs

  • @Babypunter117 you can't dye metal

  • @Babypunter117 yes but you shurly dont want pink spring....

  • You have the best slash

  • Thanks for your vid, but what is this powder and where i can find it? i couldnt understand.

  • @sp5201 It's called RIT dye, it's a coloring powder normally used for clothes, t-shirts and so on. If you're in Europe, you can either use some other coloring powder you find in your local supermarket (some might, some might not work), or you can buy it from eBay.co.uk fairly easily and cheaply.

  • Can you do the same thing with the bodies?

  • will grey turn muddy if colors like green are used?

  • Thanks will be dying my mini e revo battery compartment covers soon red thanks Jordan!

  • Can you dye aluminum parts with this dye ?

  • @deidre009 plastic only

  • will this mess up your pot?

  • Will this work to dye the grey parts on the slash suck as chassis say black

  • @kseries Sure does, done it many times! You just have to be sure to clean the parts very thoroughly as any oil or grease will act as a mask and repel the dye.

  • @kseries yup! do it.. looks way better blacked out, esp on slash and stampede

  • Mmm. They look delicious!

  • @deerhuntingboy101 i havent tried it yet but he said to remove the chrome, he has a vid on how to do it

  • intstead of a fish line can i use like a shoe lace?

  • @austinkx09 YEah probs

  • Is there a time frame that i should let the parts dry before reinstalling them back onto the vehicle?

  • @stampedevxl Doesn't matter at all, just make sure you don't trap water in any place where it'll sit with metal and cause rust & corrosion.

  • can u dye a neon yellow wheel white

  • @nickerman55 No, as noted in the video, you can only dye things to a darker color than they started.

  • @UltimateRCnetwork thank u

  • Can you dye the rims with the tires on?

  • @waiheepride Definitely not recommended, as the water would get inside and soak the foam inserts, and then it's nearly impossible to get it out without removing the tires.

  • can you dye black to red???

  • @aznkytran Black cannot be dyed. Black is already the darkest anything can get, and like I said in the video, dyes can only make things darker.

  • what were those tires called and what company are they from? thanks

  • @hasek1616 Integy ERC5

  • @UltimateRCnetwork and is there any way to turn rc parts white?

  • @hasek1616 Haven't heard of any such thing yet. The problem is that the color of black parts is generally a dye itself, and it goes all the way through the plastic.

  • Id just like to point out something about what you said regarding dying chrome, it can be done and can make some neat effects. Like that sunrise yellow makes chrome look like gold plating. Just something to think about, otherwise great video as always Jang.

  • Like to add thats only for rpm chrome parts, chrome from other companies doesn't seem to dye as well.

  • @SECustomRC Thanks for that. I know these Pro-Lines didn't take a dye in the chrome well at all.

  • @UltimateRCnetwork you can remove the chrome with easy off and then dye it after. makes it look better.

  • @aznkytran Yeah as I mentioned right in the beginning of this video, these Pro-Line Wabash wheels right here were originally chrome. I stripped them with acetone (seen in a previous video I did). As SECustomRC mentioned, though, RPM's chrome wheels take dye very well and create some beautiful shiny metallic colors.

  • can u dye the Pro-line Split six Beadloc wheels??? but its black? will u be able to dye it white?

  • @TRXRunner Nope like I said in the video, you can only dye things to darker than they are. You can go from white to anything, but black is already as dark as you can get, so you can't go lighter.

  • @TRXRunner dont listen to him spray paint a couple coats and there you go

  • @TENNESSEERULES619 Paint chips off and starts to look terrible.

  • @TENNESSEERULES619 but it will chip off eventually, when you use dye it goes into the plastic and even when you scratch it then it will still be that color.... i think :)

  • How would I go about two toning a set of rims? Like lets say a dark green center with a red lip.

  • will this work for urethane longboard wheels?

  • not sure....but an awsome idea....try it and let me know..haha

  • i used this vidieo and the tire removal one thanks i subscibed

  • Great vid jang. Keep on postin!
