  • ABCD really is the most important thing. My dermatologist said to watch for CHANGES. I had a birthmark on my foot that developed melanoma. I hadn't even noticed the color had changed until I went in for a checkup and my derm looked at my foot and asked "How long has this mark looked like this?" I looked down and was like wth I don't remember it being that dark. The irony is I got melanoma after spending two years in Seattle with NO SUN. :( Monitor your spots. Photograph them. It's worth it.

  • im 15, about 2 years ago i got realllyyyy baddd sunburn that made huge (nickel sized) blisters that were realllllyyyy thick, they healed but i have had what looks like freckels covering my shoulders now, they are not raised at all, and to my knowledge havent grown or changed colors, could this be cancer?

  • @thesingingman01 Most probably these are freckles. Many people have them without burning. However, such sunburns as you described increase yours risk of having skin cancer. They are extremely bad for you.

  • GamereactorChanoir I think I have this too. On my chest. Be strong and I'm praying for you.

  • Red devils are nasty mole people I hate that gross shit.

  • I was told two hours ago that I have Melanoma. I will have part of my arm removed in about a week and my skin checked by an oncologist. I am so scared that it has spread, I've never been this terrified in my life. I don't know who to talk to, what to do while I wait for more results... I just feel I need to share my fear somehow...

  • @GamereactorChanoir im praying for you bro, keep your chin up and live life to the fullest!

  • i can't tell the difference!!!.. i mean do they have any other symptoms?? reply or message me.

  • 1:18 that's exactly where i had mine.. PLEASE people, check your skin and be careful with it. I know what it's like if you're not careful.. even though i have never really tanned too much.

  • you know whats wierd I have all of the types (similar ) but my doctor said it was normal - and every year i get 5 new . Took out some because they were in the way , but buy taking out one 2 or 3 came back in the same are - wierd?

  • At 3:00 "If left unteated melanoma can be fatal..." and she is like :)

  • @foutugou its the only time she's smiling in the whole video aswell. lol

  • My mother got melanoma at a very young age (in her early 20s). She never went tanning but did play in the sun a lot as a child. She survived but on her back in a huge hole from them having to remove nerves and muscles to get rid of the cancer. It's not a joke. Tanning is so stupid. Why be so vain? You could die easily.

  • im 17 years old and i got melanoma twice. please be careful with your skin

  • so many people die of this in australia, many under 35, gets too your organs then your buggered.

  • my mom has all abcd please pray for her she is at the doctors rite now getting it checked out please pray for her dont let me be another one to lose there mother

  • I am one of the 55,000 per year. I am a male and I got it on my knee. I have never tanned in my life, I am 19, and live my life indoors. Literally. It was caught in stage zero so I am most likely going to be fine.

The mole was dark and raised. I have surgery to remove the roots in about a week. I also have to have my other moles examined, however none others look as repulsive as the one that was cancerous. I am having them removed just to be safe.

CHECK YOUR BODY EVERYWHERE. SAVE YOURSELF.

  • @CodeofVideos It's funny that you say you live an indoor lifestyle because I know other people who are the same. Fact of the matter is that they don't really know what causes melanoma. They BELIEVE it could possibly be caused by sun exposure but no research has found conclusive evidence of this. I have read research that shows sun exposure is associated with a reduced risk of melanoma.

  • @CodeofVideos Hello, I pray for your recovery. And, I am grateful that you mention your story on here as skin protection is vital. I am 29 years old and I've already known several people who suffered from skin cancer. Using a sun screen every day in spring and summer as well as wearing a hat or cap help prevent skin cancer. I urge everyone who reads this to use SPF gels or creams on your face and neck daily, all of you male and female. Thanks for caring and happy Holidays!

  • @Freundlichkeit82

Thank you. The surgery went fine. Two other moles removed off my body contained atypical cells, but none more contained definite cancer. I go to the derm in a few days to get my next check up. I am not very worried, aside from one particular spot on my body. Not sure if it's a zit or a mole.

That's often a problem - people often dismiss moles on their bodies as zits when they are often much more serious!

  • @CodeofVideos Thank you for sharing these good news, too. I am very glad for you that your surgery went fine. I'm from Europe but I used to live in Southern Africa for some time, where I saw numerous cases of skin cancer. Unfortunately, a lot of people don't seem to discuss their zits and moles with their doctors or they just avoid going to the doctor as they are afraid of costs. Skin cancer is not restricted to Africa. That's why I find it important to raise awareness. Best wishes

  • I have white small spots all up and down my arms, they're small like the size of freckles only they're white. Does anyone know what this is.

  • i think everybody should know about melanoma, i know what its like...

  • sites(dot)google(dot)com(slash)site(slash)melanomaskin

  • Thank you.

  • I HAVE ALL ABCDE!!

  • I was searching on the net and found a company that may have found the cure to this. Since I cannot post a link I will have to tell you how I found it. I went to yahoo and typed VICL message board and when your on there you goto the left column where it says "News & Info " then you click on "headlines" they posted it today Aug 3rd Sorry for the long post but I cant do a link on here

  • That was in response to "madisonelectronics" comment.

  • Instead of demonizing white people, you should try praising black people. They seem to be more spiritually progressed than whites. Spiritual people don't use violence to get what they want, so in the end they suffer.

  • MAN DO SOME RESEARCH AND FIND OUT JUST HOW YOU CRAKKKAZ TURNED AFRICA INTO WHAT IT IS TODAY WITH YOUR COLINIZATION!!you mother fuckers talk like AFRICA has always been like that, but we're the ones who taught the world everything.you can run your mouth about this and that all day but the truth will set you free ,and i see straight through that bullshit that you peckawoodz try and spread about white supremacy LOL!!!! that shit breaking down like a 93 hyundai you fucken faggot!!!!

  • And please, for the love of all things good and holy, don't associate all white people with White Supremacy groups. Their brains stopped maturing at 10 Y/O. I'd like to think I'm much smarter than a 10 Y/O.

  • This is your typical nigger. Commonly found on porches, drinking in the alley, or swinging from the trees. Their three main identifying features are two year old brains in adult bodies, totally welfare dependent, and the inability to pronounce the word ask. (AXE) Will answer if called by holding out a piece of fried chicken to they or a bottle of malt liquor. Commonly named boy, hey you, jungle bunny, or jigaboo.

  • I like fried chicken and I'm white...I know white women who have used welfare to leave abusive relationships...all my white friends, including myself, sit on our porches and talk...some white blondes I know are dumb...and many white canadians cant say "Hey" They'd rather say "Eh". :-/

  • the same way you get rid of your parents and put them in nursing homes,is the same way your kind has been doing the black race,we are the true mothers and fathers of the earth.you crakkkaz are jealous that we are blessed so you do everything in your power to keep us down, but it wont work because your time is coming!!all the evil things crakkkaz did will come and bite them right in the ass,its only a matter of time before we put you back in your places.TRUST THAT!!!!

  • Ok hold on there! I'm "white" and I am NOT a racist, nor do I treat ANYONE like they are beneath me. My nephew is half black and I would seriously fuck up anyone that messes with him because of his colour. The people you speak of don't act that way because they are white, they act that way because they are LOSERS. White people don't have superpowers. Any evil man with bad intentions and a gun is dangerous, that includes black people too! Your thinking needs some updating.

  • winter, your opinions are spot on. the world should one day hope to eliminate the misconception of "race". it simply does not exist. skin tone doesnt make anyone more or less of a human being. i only wish i'd come across more people who could look past the skin towards the truth.

  • There is hope. The baby boomers are passing away and their racism is dying with them. My generation is still tainted but my children's generation will be much better off. Racism will end eventually.

  • as amazing as that sounds, racism will never end. racism is deeply ingrained in American society and day-to-day life. we've tried a united peace and failed (dont get me wrong, we created more opportunities for the person of color, but the working world has become an institution designed to create uncle tom's, coconuts, and twinkies ), we tried seperation and failed, we (American citizens of color) need a true revolution. we will turn racism into a murderous and violent memory of America's past.

  • whats up mr propaganda man!!!the rare incidents where blacks do get it (if any?)were in the soles and palms of hands and feet.we have a natural protection given by mother nature.they say in 40yrs your kind wont exist and if mother nature keeps taking her course then i say GOOD RIDDENS MAGGOTS!!!i know about the white supremist agenda so those stats you gave about sickle cell and aids is propaganda, crakkkaz have a inferiority complex,so any stat he makes makes himself look good,so save it maggot!

  • This lady is always so stiff

  • Its very usefull to the population. Unfortunately the only country with a pop aware of melanoma is Australia. The country where I live and work as a dermatologist the ignoranceamong the ordinary people about is immense.

Your vids are great and very practical

    keep on!

  • the sun isnt the demon maybe

  • sun is a demon?

best of it all: there is no evidence that screening could lower letality.

if you wanna live longer don´t smoke or don´t drive drunken, it can optimize your risk .

    read the statistics!

  • The more you screen the more likely you are to catch it before it gets too bad. Trust me been there done that twice!

  • sun isn't a demon. but too much of sun rays is not healthy.

  • too much sun????i dont get it i thought the sun was the life giver to all EARTHLY beings?well you crakkkaz must be the devil afterall.i mean us black folks dont have a problem, plants and animals dont have a problem, but for some reason the very same creature claiming to be all superior and shit cant even live life without cooking and dying LOL!!! well i hope with all your tech you discover away to survive, but in the mean time i will pray that 1 day we wake up and notice CRAKKKAZ EXTINCT

  • Creepy stuff. Some people make fun of me not going out side but I'd rather live longer, beside why be outside if I can't tan anyway!

  • I'm glad to hear it. You're doing the right thing by being healthy.

  • but then going outside isn't just about getting tanned- getting tanned increases the risk of getting skin cancer. You will still need a certain amount of sunlight in order for the body to produce Vitamin D. So sometimes staying in the sun for a few minutes can be good for your body. =]
