Or just look for antiRTFM on YouTube.

  • fart at 0:32

  • @MyMadLolz ROFLMFAO!

  • @MyMadLolz xDDDDDDDDd

  • i hope its your recorder making that lag.

tell me when you have multiplayer servers set up, i love to try indie FPS games.

  • Honestly I prefer something like Irrlicht, XNA, or even raw Direct3D to DarkGDK. A certain amount of simplicity in software is nice, but DarkGDK is just ridiculously opaque in its design,

  • Are these "real circumferences", or just polygon based graphics. I hope you understand what I meant. I'm not sure how to say that in English Hahaha! Sorry :P

  • @InertLoop TROLINGUI!!! Viste?? No soy la única que habla un "inglés" de mierda. COME POR PUTOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

  • @chemierdacarajo No me contestaron, así que NO sabemos si lo dije mal o no al final.

  • @chemierdacarajo Lie...I know you're older.

  • @FinallyBacktoBasics FUCK YOUUUUUUU!!! I'm 15, BASTARD!

  • @chemierdacarajo Oh my god...okay sweetie! you're 15...

  • @InertLoop your comment never showed up. i wanna fuck her tight argie pussy

  • @InertLoop Jajaja! Lo dijiste MAL, estás empezando a patinar, cada vez sos más similar al Cordobé... No busques más excusas, no niegues nuestro amor y aceptá de una vez tu ignorancia supina.

  • @chemierdacarajo Si, soy "supinamente" ignorante. Pero como sabés que lo dije mal??

  • хуйня какаято

  • i really need to learn c++

  • very nice

  • woah, looks awesome. Inspiring me even more to start with programming.

Going to get some c++ beginner books today ;)

  • Looks Great. Any Tutorials that you can recommend

  • first sorry for my englisch because im german =)

    really cool work, respect.

    I have a question to you ^^

Can you give me your source code of the game ???

I am a programmer and i think i can make your game better without bugs.I have played your demo and i must say that you have done a really, really good job.please answer me =)

  • @MrMatt027 just the video recorder, the game runs fine, especially the later versions.

  • @pqowieuryt101 dude u shud download camtasia

    torrent it or something

  • Lag!! :)

  • Nice :)

  • Impressive!

  • would be fun to play this. i would try it :D

  • well done, i know this took hundreds of hours to make, sad thing is one person cant make a good 3D Game. It would take years to create Textures, Sounds, Scripts, Ai.

  • @AllenBowgen This was written using DarkGDK, it probably didnn't take hundreds of hours, although i think that this is a very nice game.

  • nice one

  • lagg

  • Nice terrain! Shame about the rest. Muzzle flash looks shit and so does the gun model.

  • @ItsNotASlim Classic case of programmers art.

  • keep us updated...

  • Looks like Crysis Alpha Version :D

  • How do you import images to a C++ program?? I know most of the stuff but I just don't know how to import images.

  • @oldtimegamelover If you want images like that of which we have today, you'll need allegro.

  • @Spirrwell Allegro is awful to work with! Quit misleading people. You can use whatever library you want! Most of the impression the graphics make are going to be coming from the models you create separately anyway...

  • @radicalgarbage02 What the hell? I said you would need to use allegro to import images, of course you can use any other thing you want, but Allegro is the only thing I know of. And, I could make a good 3 hour game with allegro.

  • Holy fuck... how long did it take? Did you completely program all of that yourself? The gun skins and stuff?

  • Where did you learn how to program?

  • How do u DO that??? I can make it draw a ball that bounces around, but I cant get it to move with the arrow keys. how do I do that?

  • Searching for british people who know programming. Recruiting 10 people who can either design, voice acting, compose or story writing. Looking only for pros.

  • great

  • Dark GDK no?

  • It's really good for something you made yourself, but these little things could be made better:

    1. Improve AI

    2. More enemies

    3. Make a HUD

  • openGL is better then dark gdk

  • @meming4 Dark GDK and OGL really can't be compared because GDK is mainly just an engine alone (I believe), and OpenGL is a graphics library, which is why OpenGL is better. I'd go with ODE or writing your own library anyways though. If you have experience with OpenGL I'd strongly recomend it because they go great together.

  • Best thing since Big Rigs Over the Road Racing.

  • did you use the C4 Engine?

  • can u make online multiplayer games whit that program? :D

  • @gmodzombieteam yes, if you have the servers

  • @pqowieuryt101 Lol, I just remebered y dad makes servers.

  • @pqowieuryt101 looks good i wish id be able to make games

  • hahahhahahahahahhaha "DEMO" fuck me hahaha

  • Hey gow do you position the gun like that next to the camera?

  • @CheckeredApe My balls are already 3D :D

  • when u say you programmed this, does that mean you made it from scratch? as in made it draw each 3d face, control perspective, lighting and all that?

  • i never tried C++, but do you create your custom classes for your game?

  • I've been building a renderer in C++ with DirectX SDK libararies (DirectX 9). I can't get the project to compile in release mode, how is it that you've put together the demo for others to download and play?

  • @rickyoswald check your dependencies

  • looks like oblivion with guns. nice tho.

  • open a .text file in notepad then you wrute the stuff like create big bumpy ground { 20x20) and you put a picture in the backround called a skyboxer with something like open picture [c:\my documents\pictures\sky.bmp] and you do same stuff for 3d models and thinks like that then you rename the .text file to .exe and then you have a game, anyone can do it. I think controls are defautl to WASD i don't know yet how to customize controls. um im gonna make the best halo game ever lol

  • @McKack Your joking, right?

  • @CheckeredApe that was another game I made, my new one is called "shadows path"

  • i cant use dark gdk cuz i on ubuntu still i can use allegro and sdl so im fine

  • This fps he made uses the "Dark GDK"

google it, it has a list of examples and loads of tutorials and free scripts

  • Half life 1 in alpha stage looks better then this O_O

  • say, if you are like me and in school the best head start would be to go and get a book, choose one for the very patronizing books. They are best because all jargon is explained.

On the other hand, for all others, if your very arrogant and havent done a fair ammount of research, why not dive in to an advanced book :D

  • Im about to start learning programming, i got a question, is this really hard?

because the way everyone explains on youtube and other places, it fills my head with doubts lol

  • @yoboip1 programming - no , not so hard. Making games yes. And require a lot of math if you want to be good :) To be able to start learning programming games You feel comfortable in using Your chosen language too:) So it takes tiiimee

  • @yoboip1 Dont learn from YT videos, you just wont learn anything.

I would suggest you go to a c/c++/c# course so you will have good knoledge, learning from book isn't the best either...

    good luck

  • LOL! I would have said the opposite when coming to books, even when on courses you should need books, if not to learn from, then defenitely for reference.

  • C++ Is a very complex language.

  • LOL fucking game you gonna be fucking rich lool

  • awesome, so howlong did it take to make this far?

  • cool

  • Have to say well done :)

ive literally just started to learn c++ and i hope to someday be able to do this lol

  • @maceron4444 Label1.Text = "Hello World" xD

MsgBox("Was that Easy? I know you think it was :P")

  • @maceron4444 will take you about 4 years of blood sweat and tears lol

  • @calicom110 looks like i better get started then lol

  • How much time have you put on that?

I've just started programming and it's alot of fun, so far. I hope I can make stuff like that too, when i get better :P.

Do you have to be good at math to program? I'm not very good at math, though I'm not bad at it either, I'm "normal gifted"(?).

    Thanks.

  • you only need geometry , for stuff like loading an model in the matrix and calculating exact float roation

if you want to write collision or lighting modules then you will need hardcore math algoryth (thats why you can use another engine)

  • Ok, thanks. So it is a kind of hard math? I hope I can study hard and learn anyway. Thanks for the answer

  • you have to know a heck of a lot of scripts and what they do, and to create maps, you need a general knowledge of image editing.

Use Dark GDK, it has 3d game tutorials

  • Hah, nice. You made the models and terrain in some 3d modelling program like 3dsMax and used in your game? I wonder how you did that :) I never made any programs in C++ that advanced...

  • Dude, the graphics look close to the quality of Half Life 1 and that took a team to make. Good job.

  • haha you know nothing about pcs

its just the video recording it you tool

  • XD Owned :D

  • @MultiIPwnage wow ur dick is 2 centimeters long

  • I like your vids. you should upload some of the code of your projects. I just got c++ and dark gdk and would like to use the code and experiment.

    thanks.

  • Good Game

  • pqowieuryt101, could I please be so pushy as to request that you put a download to this game in MegaUpload? :)

Rapdshare demands that I become a premium member; and I refuse to pay for one file.

  • great i love it!!!

  • I'd like to see you make something better. I sure as heck know I can't.

  • Neither can I, Gamerboy. I'm working on learning the roped, though! ^_^

    Nothing's gonna stop me now.

  • you do it then

  • XNa is a windows thing, but suppose i create a game in c++ and want to play it on consoles, how is this done?

  • You have to use a library specifically made for programming on THAT console. What console are you looking to develop on? I'm sure I can find something.

  • xna is the only way. other than that you have to purchase a graphics library for the ps3 or 360 which is about $10,000.

  • asking this on youtube isn't going to get you very far

  • burn it look on google

    u will find your answer

the is something call achol which u can burn game on a cd and play it on your system xd look on google

  • Only if you work for that specific company will you ever get that information such as Sony or Microsoft, only if you work for them you will know how to do it. Its a copyright thing

  • ok when you create these games. how do you get them to play on consoles such as xbox

  • Use the XNA libary instead of the Windows one.

  • Very well done. I think a lot of people forget that top end FPS shooters these days are made on a team consisting of hundreds of different people who specialize in graphics, audio, sound and textures so you've done a very good job.

  • more like tens but still, people ar forgetting these games are made by qualified specialists

  • Comment removed

  • can you give me the source?

  • Really well done, i see what you were aiming for and I see you are trying to portray. I am beginning in c++ and i think you did a nice job.

  • Looks amazing, but I just can't let go of how much the gun looks like legos with the video quality :P

  • there's no sound

  • Nice! I like it :)

  • dude, ive created my game, but i dunno how to make it into an .exe

please help me out mannn =]

  • i need the exact same advice ive created my program, but it asks me to link it to an .exe file, i have no idea how to create or link :( any one to shed there help?

  • have you compiled it yet? the green arrow at the top? that links it for you :-)

  • you just debug it, then go into your projects in my documents go into your project then go into the debug folder and your .exe file is waiting for you there. but it has to be in the same level folder as the media :-) hope this helps. be sure to check out my tutorials!

  • Heres what I recommend for all beginners to game development. First, make a Tic-Tac-Toe game

Next, Make a FPS in Dark GDK

    Finally, make a FPS/MMORPG in Direct X

It may sound hard but its easy once you learn the basics

  • isnt DarkGDK a direct X development tool?

  • It isn't associated directly with it but Dark GDK is made from Direct X 9

  • Dark gdk uses functions of DirectX and makes easyer ones for everyone to understand, like dbSprite();

  • Sure is! be sure to check out my tutorials for a easy start with Dark GDK
