I think the Wikipedia logo is fine since it's a free organization, and dude really, you have talent at this, don't give up because of the competition.
From a communications effectiveness (rather than technological polish) viewpoint, I liked this one best.

It's nice, just needs some polishing up like smoother transitions and removal of the "Aquos" logo and such. Good job though.
