it looks like it might have had an harddrive upgrade, i didnt think 2 gig harddrives existed in 96, espesially in a laptop I had a Pc desktop at the time and it only had a one gig harddrive.....
first laptop i had about 9 years ago, it wasnt a bad laptop at the time, it did everything I needed at the time, I had internet, office and a portable printer with it.
@valdus whats the problem? Standart adapter cf to ide and ready. Any problems with it?
Or do you want to know how to make partitions on the T6600C? I've just installed as 1GB extended HDD in Bios, and made with Freedos C: D: E: F: each 1GB. Maybe 2GB on D: and follow works too, but all must be FAT16. .... ok, only 184 180 176 172 signs left.... if u have any problems send me a private message.
mine is slower.... I#ve got an Toshiba T6600C with a grip for.........I don't know....maybe it's build in that I can do my early morning exercise or something. fat mashine. fatter than yours, haha. :) It got's only DX 66 (not DX 2-66), 40MB Ram, and 4GB CF Card as HDD (I don't like moving parts on portable mashines). Ok, hdd is realy big, but old one is damaged. maybe somebody tried to bash this mashine out of a window or something.
Holy! I have almost that exact laptop! I have 490 CDT, and it works too! Mine was made for Windows 95, but about 8 years ago my dad upgraded it to 98. Mine has the Intel Pentium also, but not the Pentium 1, the Pentium 2. Mine is slow, but I was amazed that it still worked. So now I still use Toshiba, as I can trust it for lasting. (I bought a new Toshiba)
Mine is the Satellite Pro 430 CDT and it works quite good on Windows 98. His Computer has just to be re-installed. The Problem is that you can´t reinstall it without the external Floppy drive. Then you need a HDD adaptor (Ebay) to prepare the HDD on your desktop computer. The internal CD drive won´t boot.
i have one and i just got th wireless card im makeing it new again putting new memory like 300 gs and new programs ill probably get a new fan for it too
too funny...I had the exact same PC. I bought it in late 1996, must have paid around $2,000 for it. It was a tank...I used it for six years and never had a single problem with it.
you can get a 128mb module upgrade for these and load win xp, it takes about 3 and half hours and runs bloddy slow, processor is too slow 120mhz, just to slow for xp or win 2000
I have a satellite 4070CDT and it has Windows 98SE installed. Iwas wondering if anyone could tell me hhoe to get XP Home installed on it please. GalaxyProductionsLdt
hard drive is under the battery, just take the battery cover off, turn the laptop upside down, slide the battery cover off, remove the battery and the hard drive is under there
feature's....? it's a old laptop do u really need to know feature's It's not like anyone would buy a laptop this old lol unless a old PC Collector but incase u want to know it has a Printer port/serial port/PS/2 port/VGA port/Type1/2 PC Card slot 800x600 display and a "special" dim plug for Toshiba's External Floppy drive i also own nothing to special 2MB of graphics memory i believe
Hey man that laptop is awesome just wondering can please give me the Microsoft Office 97 iso image for my Windows 95 virtual pc on my Windows XP Computer,p.s. you should install Windows 2000 on it trust me it would be a lot more efficient.
