This is a great headset. I used this headset for a solid 6 months before a small critter got to the cable with one nibble and it was ruined. I would recommend this to anyone. I am unfortunately now using the world of warcraft headset made by creative as a gift from the holidays. Its not a bad headset but at the same time lacks a lot of what the megalodon puts out. If your willing to pay 150 bucks for it i'd say get this one without a doubt.

Please do not buy headsets from razer i have the megalodon... that box you have is annoying and the sound is horrible compared to logitechs stuff and steelseries.

Yeah its nice boxed in etc but come on Logitech G35 is 10 times better for soundwhoring and listening to music and they are 10 times better with the bass too =)

Megalodon makes my ears burn because it is sitting bad on me... im sorry its not worth that much take atleast 30-40 procent off and its a fair deal.

@NewGuyCommentary Personally I prefer the Razer Carcharias over the Logitech G35, as the padding on the Razer is way better. The Logitech G35 is also way to heavy and if you want to take a look at your keyboard the headset mostly falls off of your head.

Had to wait, most of the year just for Razer to fix the sound cutting out, and the mic being noisy. Even after the updated drivers the Sound card would still bug out and give a long monotone sound. Now ALMOST a year, not even a full year the Left Ear Sound Driver doesn't function anymore. Razers lack luster quality and care for their products and their supporters (Paying Customers) means I will no longer buy any Razer equipment and will not recommend it to anyone.

noise filtering my ass! it has insane echo.. i use my standard laptop mic instead of that mic.

and u can hear everything around u when ur not playing any sound through it... have to buy leather ear things for filtering..

i use the logitech g35: virtual 7.1

and sharkoon digital: true 5.1

and for games you want to use 5.1 true but not alot of games support 7.1 but 7.1 is the best if you can find a game which supports it.... blue ray supports 7.1 so its better for films and for music (there is a switch on the megalodons which turn it to stereo so thats good for music). so for purely games use 5.1 and for all rounder use megalodons

Bullshit, this headsets suck, you can still alot of outside noise, it doesn't cover your ear fully, the sound quality is bogus, it's hard to configure, and it the firmware breaks if you try to System Restore to the point where you updated the firmware...Atleast that's what happened to me....fucking disappointed, consider me out of the Cult.
