also, If you've ever worked on a production floor, you would know that just after Safety, efficiency is the most important thing. Example: If additional resources are used to make the live stock more "comfortable", that translates into additional cost to the end consumer. In the end, the animal is killed and slaughtered; breed to be eaten :D Pets, on the other hand, totally different issue. so stop treating a food source like your pets.

I just wonder how these ppl can work in these places and sleep at night. I would think one would go insane in time. I don't ever want to meet one of these ppl. And going vegan will not stop the live skinning of dogs and cats in china, or rodeo, or circuses, or abuse. A refusal to tolerate or allow this is the cure. If you can't grow your own, you don't get any, simple as that.
