@michaella089 I've been trying little things to make my hair healthy, and I got a straightener that lets me set my temp, and i noticed that the lower i set the temp, the more it was likely to fuzz in the slightest bit of moisture/humidity. When I use my chi its temp goes somewhere in the 400's, and no matter how humid it gets, it will not fuzz up unless it gets wet. Hope that helps!

Exactly what race are you? You can't be 100% Asian with hair like that. Perhaps you have a jewish and or Black background. I have been a hair dresser for over 30 years and have styled many textures and I am confident that your hair is not 100% Asian. You are a pretty girl with lovely hair. @il2nc2ga Yes, I am 100% Asian. I have absolutely NO other ethnicities in me, and I am sure of it! I am HMONG which originated from Chinese and Mongolian people. The curly hair runs very strongly in my family, which comes from my father's side of the family, which they are also 100% Asian. As for now I am just trying to nurse my hair back into a healthy state, and of course put some length in it! Wish me luck! Thank you!

I've got a tip for you when you have some extra time in the morning. If you make you apply product that's not as heavy and straighten your hair with a blow dryer then take smaller parts of your hair with the flat iron, then it will turn out silkier and straighter. (It'll take longer though. An hour for me)

It looks gorgeous now though. :)

Hey, I have really super thick curly hair. I had short hair because its easier to wash and care for but I grew it out. My curls kinda tamed because of the weight of my hair when it was grown out. So I think that if you grow your hair out it will help:) By the way, you are absolutley BEAUTIFUL!(:

you're hair seems fried and stiff. Even black girls on here without perms get their hair straighter and it has a lot of movement. Perhaps you need to embrace your curls and let your hair get healthy again. Or use a round brush to make the hair more taught when you blowdry (instead of pointing it upwards against, opening up the shaft as you did after paddling) Oh, well you're cute, just keep it healthy!

not every asian has straight hair. im asian and i have really wavy hair. its just that most asians get their straight hair from their parents or whoever in their family. i got my wavy hair from my mom. she probably got her curly hair from one of her parents. its really rare though, in a way. if you go to korea, china, ect. you can find asians with wavy hair more than here in america or where ever.
