Matt is not in the same class as George St Pierre. Cmon UFC is wagered in Las Vegas now. I knew this would be a sell out. I wagered 2 1/2 rounds under because i knew this sort of thing would occur in the UFC where the fighters aren't paid diddly so when the get to the championship fight it's where they make their money. My only regret is not wagering on Matt. Think about it! The next time there's a fight where the contenders are not evenly matched...just bet under and win.

See, now the only problem with that last comment is that Joe Rogan is NOT a competitor, and both Matt Hughes and Matt Serra have beaten GSP. Now don't get me wrong, I think GSP is a great athlete and great competitor, but I didn't think he'd do well against Matt Serra. Considering I thought Matt Hughes would beat him again, I'm glad I could recover some integrity. Prediction: Matt Hughes will come out and beat Matt Serra. He will go on and win over GSP again.

Pound for Pound GSP is one of the (if not THE) greatest fighters in the game. He is a pure athlete and as well rounded as they come. He's a great, classy guy who will be champ again. NO DOUBT. But he may have to wait a few fights to get that title shot. You know that pussy Hughes is going to have the first shot.

You can't count anyone out in MMA ever. I don't think Serra will hold the belt that long but who knows. Serra looks much better well-rounded now. His striking is pretty decent now. And he is still one of the best BJJ guys in the business.
I'd like to see Serra/Hughes fight now. May be an interesting fight.

i dont know about Serra keeping the belt either..but i seemed to be one of the few that knew he'd win. I mean..they billed the title shot in Ultiomate Fighter 4 as the "last chance" for the contenders. If you win something like that..you HAVE to go into the title fight with everything on the line. It might have been GSP's belt..but it was defining moment of Serra's career of ever having what it takes to beat a top fighter. And he did.

It looked to me that it was all over after that first huge right hand to the back of the head. Obviously it was unintentional as GSP had his head tilted in an achward position and it connected. Congratulations to Serra and good luck to GSP. Im sure GSP will be chanp again within his next 3 fights.
