For 200 bucks this is one awesome camera set up. The quality is great, (this is compressed for you tube) but most importantly is the simplicity and ruggedness. I put mine on my RC truck and had a blast with it! I can't wait to throw it on my helmet and Jet Ski (waterproof to 100 feet)

this camera is amazing, just for some reason its realy bad quality on this paticular video, and its also mounted realy badly. go pro wide angle cameras are 5 mega pixel, and usually good quality

Cool video. I personally do not think the GoPro should consider itself a motorsports camera. It doesn't manage sound, or video, well under extreme conditions. Those are the two main requirements for a "Motorsports" camera. That said, I have seen some amazing video from this camera under the "perfect" conditions, ie; no vibration/shock, abundant bright sunlight, low noise levels.

Don't get me wrong, I have gotten some great video with the GoPro but the vibrations(engine/rough roads) from my bike seem to affect the quality a lot. I agree that for the rice it's an excellent deal. It is possible I got a bad camera or an older version.

I have to disagree with you. I use mine when we go riding out in the desert and dunes and I think it's awesome. The sound is fine and the video is great. That said, it's not the best you can get. You can go buy some professional crap and spend 5 times what the GoPro costs and then you can wear a vest carrying a camera hooked to a lense on your helmet. It's great for the price and size of it.

I'm sure you know but the mic has 2 setting - one for motorsports etc and one for quieter things. I have used mine for dirt biking, scuba diving, motorbike track racing and kite surfing and as long as it is on the right sound setting seems to be OK so far but it is the wide so thay may have improved them?? Only got it few months ago and just love it!!
