  • About time someone did a good remix of Bloody Tears. Kick ass!

  • Simon's quest is definitely the most annoying CV ever... "WHAT A HORRIBLE NIGHT TO HAVE A CURSE".

Still a pretty good game though, with kickass music.

  • can i use this song and make an extended edition?? it will go up to 3:50 :) cool castlevania music that lasts longer :) so can i use it? i will credit you in the video description!

  • First time I ever heard a metal remix of a videogame soundtrack that didn't totally butcher the song.

  • This is beyond badass! \m/

  • wow i wish i could meet the person who made this and jam some time

  • After listening to 30 or so covers of the original tune trying to find a download of the original NES track, I can honestly say this is the best cover I've heard so far, and that is including official inclusions from other Castlevania games. Nice work, though it does end quite abruptly.

  • I LOVE THE BASS LINE ! :D

  • WOOOOOOOOW! AWESOME! YAY FOR SIMON BELMONT! = D

  • Will somebody for the love of all that is video game music, make a metal version of Sonja Belmont's "Bloody Tears" theme?

  • this is the only remix ive ever heard that sounds like the origanal

  • this is a awsome song maybe i will use it like a intro XP

  • best cover ever

  • dude, can i use this the audio for this in my videos if i give credit to you and put a link to this video in the sidebar thing?

  • @supermark64 Go for it! :D

  • @eman3624 yay

  • perfect.

  • JUST AWESOME!

  • who played the drums then

  • Oh and 5 people, for disliking this, are miserable little piles of secrets.

  • The Cradle Of Filth version is in fact not Cradle Of Filth but done for a Konami Arranged CD called Dracula Battle Perfect Selection - The Bloody Tears cover was done by Naoto Shibata.

  • My new goal, collect every GOOD Nes sequil, Castlecania 2 simons quest, is the next one i go for!

  • ROCK & F**KING ROLL!!! >o<

  • what an AMAZING night to have a curse

i dont care if im gonna have a curse as long as i listen this song ... god!

  • EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE this shit is TIGHT!!!!!! :D:D:D:D:D

totally should have put some double bass and maybe some blast beat in that shit son!!

  • Usually people that upload their own remixes are really bad. Listening to this makes me so very glad I occasionally still scour the internet to find some good ones.

    Thank you, that was awesome.

  • EARGASM ♥_♥

  • what a horribale nght to have a curse

  • 4 people like fairy tale music.

  • Perfection.

  • Heh, I just played through it yesterday on my NES. I'm having a personal CV marathon up to LoS's release. Working on SCV IV right now.

This also was probably my favorite NES game, so I disagree with James on some of his points during the AVGN review. It's hard, yes... But it's hard in a GOOD way.

  • All i have to say, is epic.

  • In the Land of Awesomeness, Bloody Tears is the national anthem.

  • AWESOME rendition man!

  • lets see watching twilight tonight. WHAT A HORRIBLE NIGHT TO HAVE A CURE!!!!!! listens to this reminds me that not all vampires are glitery gay teens that try to look like elvis

  • final boss battle music!!!!

  • WHAT A HORRIBLE NIGHT TO HAVE A CURSE

  • Right :)

  • guitar plyin good snare needs to b improved i.e. timing

  • Cradle of Filth did not cover Bloody Tears at all. Dani Filth had also said so. It was actually Naoto Shibata Project who covered it.

  • Castlevania is awsome none of that glittery bullshit

  • Played this for about 3 hours tonight, sooooo addictive. The whole blue crystal/red crystal use is indeed confusing and extremely hard to figure out without a guide, but hands down one of the best NEs titles. Definitely a must own for any RPG lovers.

  • hell......YES!!!! SO EPIC!!!

  • finally. a VERY well-done rock version of the original and BEST version of bloody tears. thank you for this

  • Nicely done!

  • even this castlevania got about three remakes with the same stages but its still one of the best games

  • I love the AVGN videos, but Castlevania 2 is a great game, has some parts that are way too fucked up, but it's a great game. Too bad I have to disagree with his first review...

  • @DTPoe

I agree, while the translation is god awful, I really liked Simon's Quest. No love for a under represented game.

  • Castlevania is Castlevania, what that means is that regardless of what anyone thinks, its THE BEST SERIES EVER, along with Megaman, Metal Gear, And Zelda...(My all time favorites, Top 2 are Megaman and Castlevania...cant choose the #1 between the two, love them equally :D )

  • the game lacked proper translation, hints and bosses.

but id give it a 7 out of 10

  • the life bar look like megaman life bar xD. very nice version

  • Did you use fruity loops?

    It sounds badass haha

  • best version rendition Ive heard so far...Keep up the good work!

  • this guy makes simon look even more badass

  • Comment removed

  • this melody is godlike. even though it doesn't brings me back memory of my experiences on the NES, it makes me want to fucking cry when i hear such quality tunes.

  • Awesome! ^_^

  • shit man i didnt see this one on your list of covers! awesome man. one of my fave nes themes!

  • This is my ringtone. Well the "cradle of filth" version I got from limewire. I'd much prefer a mp3 of this version. It is in a word, IMENSE.

  • Cradle of Filth DID NOT do this song. Ever! It's a overly common mistake wihch must stop!!!!

  • One of my favorite game songs of all time. So Dark. So fearful, So brooding. So Scary. So Adventurous. So Heroic. So bad ass.

  • SO GODDAMED RAPEAGE!

  • Hint: to defeat Dracula in two (2!) hit you must obtain a GOLD DAGGER (knife in some versions) It could be changed fore some garlic on graveyard =)

  • Einstine could not beat that game

  • i beat this game (bad ending tho) it is possable to win

  • What's going to be funny is when people who are super convinced that any well known band did a cover of a castlevania song manage to stumble upon the Sega Saturn version of Symphony of the Night...

  • Please answer me ! If cradle of fillth doesn't do a cover of Bloddy tears, Who do that? (sorry for my Englsih, i'm french)

  • A Japanese tribute album made by Konami.

:rire:

  • So many Version of Bloody Tears. For a Home made/ Fan made Remake Very well done. My favorite Version of this song is still the Cradle of Filth one.

Still for a Fan made home, Very well dont. 5/5

  • It's NOT Cradle of Filth!!

  • no, make sure YOU know what YOUR talking about. COF never did a cover of this song.

not one cover I've ever heard was by them. none of them even sound like cradle of filth. and they're my favorite band so i know exactly what they sound like. i was even able to point out songs I've never heard by them out from my classmates headphones, because i know the sounds of their drums, guitars, and vocals.

  • That's right!

  • okay, prove it. show me the cover.

  • dude he even said i played this on his guitar

  • Everyone thinks that one remix he says is his favorite is Cradle of Filth, but it's not! They didn't do it. That's what I was refering to. Use your brain a little bit.

  • On youtube, I typed in "Cradle of Filth Bloody Tears" and I found a few videos. All of the videos featured the same song, however there is no proof that is Cradle of Filth because most of the videos were that song and a bunch of pictures of them. I even looked up their entire discography and I never saw anything about them covering "Bloody Tears". But I can see where you are coming from, but there is still no proof that was them covering it though. Who knows! LOL I could be wrong!

  • @eman3624

The "Cradle of Filth" version was actually performed by the Kuheika Club for the album "Dracula Battle Perfect Select" that is only available in Japan.

  • @eman3624 maybe that songs that dont appear in any album, is just a song to not to be in a album

maybe that song isnt chosen for any album

    its just my opinion :D

    saludos

  • @eman3624 Cradle of Filth never covered this song, the version that they say CoF did was off of the "Dracula Battle Perfect Select" album, as done by the Kuheika Club.

  • @eman3624

Nope, no Cradle of Filth version at all. The song you have heard is done by some Konami club back in the 90's.

  • @eman3624 Probably akin to that SOAD Zelda thing which is actually "The Rabbit Joint"

  • @eman3624 Cradle of Filth said that they didn't make that version of Bloody Tears I don't remember who did it but I do know they didn't still this is an awesome remix

  • @eman3624

It's not Cradle of Filth, it was actually on one of the official Castlevania soundtrack albums.

People think it's Cradle of Filth because of Napster Syndrome, people randomly mislabel songs for some stupid reason.

  • Genial, me encanta!!

  • By far, one of the best Castlevania covers I've heard

  • Awesome.One word.

  • I don't care what AVGN said!

I played the second game, and loved it!

Not saying his and other peoples opinions are wrong though.

  • This

  • Yep.

  • I liked it too, its not that bad.

  • yeah, AVGN is awesome, but CV 2 is a great game! I disagree with him on that game too. It can be hard as hell without proper instructions, but a good game nonetheless.

  • @eman3624 Yeah Same Here Minus Playing The Game.

  • @eman3624 i agree with him to the fact that the game is hard enough without it being cryptic as all fuck

  • @eman3624 Actually: James Rolfe (aka AVGN) likes CV 2. What irony huh?^^

  • @thedragonb0y see, what the Nerd does (I love his vids xD) is basically nitpick. and he's pointed it out in a lot of his stuff. i guess this happens to be a game that was pretty good that he reviewed. and that's my two cents.

  • @Crazytrainrocker That's just the thing really. I don't like reviewing in general because it just ruins the whole fun.

  • @thedragonb0y yeah but it's hilarious.

  • @Crazytrainrocker dont forget he re-reviewed the game in a little more personal view

  • @RawbThatPunk oh i know, i enjoyed it.

  • Hard core, never played the game though.

  • Awesome.

  • on a scale of one to ten... 20. Great job!

  • i want this game again know that i know what to do

  • Very metal.

  • sweer

  • Dude you did an amazing job on this. It sounds very catchy and epic at the same time. I give you 5 stars on this. Id love to hear you do a remix of Awake from Circle of the Moon if you ever are up for it.

  • WICKED!

  • this remix would be perfect for an f-zero game

  • yeah i fucking love the music in f-zero

  • I quite agree — if it were possible to create a Castlevania-themed track with the N64DD F-Zero X Expansion Pack, this would be awesome to use for its theme. :D

You could even make it daytime on the track, and make a second (nighttime) track, using a fast metal cover of Vampire Killer as its theme. :D

Also: you have a lot of vote-downs. WHAT A HORRIBLE NIGHT TO HAVE A CURSE.

  • I fucking love this. 5*

  • Made of win. Period.

  • good remake

  • excellent guitar work on this one...way to go man!

  • I think it sounds better faster then the original, but everyone's entitled to their opinions.

  • flesk used this o_O its to awsome for words

  • this song consists of EPIC WIN!

  • AWESOME!

  • that's fucking AWESOME, would it be ok if I used that for my series, simon belmont is in it, and I think that'd be an awesome intro song for him

  • Yeah!!! great song!!! i love it!

  • Dude . . . awesome. Just . . . awesome.
