Glenn Beck is really going down the wrong road by supporting Santorum. I don't get his fascination with this guy. He says Ron Paul's idea of government is a "conservative wet dream" and yet still won't support him. Quite frankly I'm disappointed in Beck for this.

Examine not what the establishment politicians tell you during election year, but instead look at their records. The truth is out there, and the only opportunity you have to affect change is your vote. Yes, America has a ton of freedom in it, but t used to have a lot more: a good start would be to look at the politicians who recently voted to approve NDAA.
@JazzRockablity The Federal Register is where our fed gov records the rules, laws and regulations. Back before digital, it would grow by the size of a book 11" x 17" x a foot thick every day. Ron Paul is a fiscal conservative who thinks gov is growing too fast, spending too much, involved in too much of our lives. Paul's been warning about the Federal Reserve Bank for 40 yrs. Drugs would only be legal at the federal level, so they would still be illegal until a state makes them legal.
His foreign policy is what we need. We can't afford any more wars, financially or diplomatically.
@qwexas I'm pretty rabidly anti-drug. And while I always thought there was a federal role in the issue of law enforcement and the drug trade, we the people never gave any such authority to the fed. They literally have no jurisdiction unless we ammend the constitution. This is the problem we've been in. When Congress has no authority, they simply ignore the constitution, pass laws that violate the highest law of the land and then expect us to respect illegality rather than proper law.
@qwexas ..to that end, I agree with Paul. This is a state issue. So it isn't that drugs would be legal at the federal level. They have no authority to be involved which means they would have No position. Big difference as a matter of law. I think most states already have laws on the books making the same drugs illegal; so this is largely a non-issue or a red herring.
@havoc092 It's a red herring except for the fact that the Obama Justice dept has been arresting people in various states for using marijuana for medical purposes. Arresting owners of state legal dispensaries, picking some of the most staid, oldest, respectable medical marijuana dispensaries to jack with. Societies where government regulates are prosperous and wall street doesn't have the freedom to get rich and get bailed out by the poor when they screw up. Examine not what the establishment politicians tell you during election year, but instead look at their records. The truth is out there, and the only opportunity you have to affect change is your vote. Yes, America has a ton of freedom in it, but t used to have a lot more: a good start would be to look at the politicians who recently voted to approve NDAA.

@JazzRockablity The Federal Register is where our fed gov records the rules, laws and regulations. Back before digital, it would grow by the size of a book 11" x 17" x a foot thick every day. Ron Paul is a fiscal conservative who thinks gov is growing too fast, spending too much, involved in too much of our lives. Paul's been warning about the Federal Reserve Bank for 40 yrs. By artificially setting interest rates, it causes the boom/bust including the one we're in. 500 characters ain't much.

@eeezzz007 That's a lie. Saying he wants to legalize all drugs distorts his position. He wants marijuana to be legal, not the rest, but he wants to let each state make & enforce its own drug laws. Drugs would only be legal at the federal level, so they would still be illegal until a state makes them legal.
His foreign policy is what we need. We can't afford any more wars, financially or diplomatically.

@qwexas I'm pretty rabidly anti-drug. And while I always thought there was a federal role in the issue of law enforcement and the drug trade, we the people never gave any such authority to the fed. They literally have no jurisdiction unless we ammend the constitution. This is the problem we've been in. When Congress has no authority, they simply ignore the constitution, pass laws that violate the highest law of the land and then expect us to respect illegality rather than proper law.

@qwexas ..to that end, I agree with Paul. This is a state issue. So it isn't that drugs would be legal at the federal level. They have no authority to be involved which means they would have No position. Big difference as a matter of law. I think most states already have laws on the books making the same drugs illegal; so this is largely a non-issue or a red herring.

@havoc092 It's a red herring except for the fact that the Obama Justice dept has been arresting people in various states for using marijuana for medical purposes. Arresting owners of state legal dispensaries, picking some of the most staid, oldest, respectable medical marijuana dispensaries to jack with. Also, The illegality of drugs is what makes them valuable enough for organized crime to get involved, just like prohibition. I'm going to post 2 video responses to this one that you should see.
