AWESOME video! It really taught me a lot about creating that unique sound. One question, sorry to bother you, but I wasn't totally sure about how you did the side chaining. So is that track just all of the drums put together? And then you put the leads into it? or is the side chain track just... sorry. I don't really know what I'm talking about, not that good at Logic yet. Could you just explain how that works? I really like the effect it has but haven't had much success duplicating it :D ty!

@wazupjkhunter77 You should search on youtube "Sidechain Compression logic pro", watch a few videos and you'll be good to go. There are LOTS of videos about it.The idea is that you send the kick and snare's signals into a Bus, which you then use as a sidechain into a compressor on other tracks (in this video, these tracks are the Screech Lead, Saw Pad, and Bass). The resulting effect is that the screech lead, saw pad, and bass tracks become momentarily quiet whenever a kick or snare is playing.

@beatsByEG The "1 e + a 2 e + a 3 e + a 4 e + a" is a way of counting 16th notes in a bar. It was how I learned from my drum teacher. Every digit (1, 2, 3, 4) is where Logic's metronome would strike (because it's the start of each quarter note) and every + is halfway between each quarter note, and the e's and a's are the halfway points between the digits and the +'s.

I don't know if that makes it make any more sense, but either way you can still see the timing I used just looking at the grid

@beatsByEG Thanks man! I'd be happy to do more, I want to try replicating that sound that @nermosh100 is talking about (from Dubba Jonny's UKF tutorial, which I've never seen before.. haha) and then if you have any other tutorial requests I'd be happy to oblige.

@nermosh100 Haha I would love to teach how to make that scratchy bass sound -- except I have no earthly idea how he does it. i too would love to learn how Skrillex created that bass.

Search around on youtube there are lots of tutorials on how to create it, and you be the judge of which one is best.

@teagankelkmusic I have found a few, but no descent ones involve logic. Since you are good at this, you wanna see if you can replicate the sound that Dubba Jonny has on his UKF tutorial? I've been trying, but to no avail
