  • Jersey Joe BLASTED Charles with that left hook.

  • As soon as Louis connects with that right you know it's over even before Braddock hits the canvas. Just a dynamite right straight into the side of Jimmy's chin and it was lights out.

  • Primo Canera and Galento must have trained and learned from each other

  • Two Ton Tony Galento...one of the best characters in boxing history. He said of Lewis, "I'll moida da bum"...that's some classic stuff right there.

  • Those were the days when men were men and women were glad of it.

  • @au33987 MEN ARE ALWAYS MEN UNLESS U DUMB ASS FU CK

  • Braddock had a helluva chin

even on old scratchy film, you can see the razor crispness of a young Louis' punches and still get that 'glad I ain't standin in front of him' feeling

  • Spaghetti? Beer? I guess I'm in training!

  • I also train on spaghetti and beer!!

  • Excellent Left counter.. Roach talks about this punch.. shoulder an incoming jab and throw the opposite hook.. only works if both fighters have the same handedness.

  • Godoy.. what a chin.. what heart,,, Joes all class

  • For those looking for the Shmeling/Louis fights there's actually an awesome documentary about them here on Youtube.

    watch?v=dt7j2bzUNOQ

  • this production cannot show a joe louis fight without mentioning his loss to schleming. Why not show the fight instead of just filling us in every five minutes. other than that this doc kicks ass post more, whatever you got im teribly interested in these old school fighters

  • Arreola- a modern day Two Ton Tony Galento..

  • wtf is up with all the cops

no need to pay for security back then, they got cops

    lol

  • Dam,

what about the two schmelling fights??

Maybe the greatest rivalry in HW boxin after the Ali-Frazier trilogy...

No disrespect to Godoy and Galento but but the Max-Joe fights were more competitive and important historically...

    The production sux

  • "Cincinnati Flash!" went down in a flsh!
