Excellent Idea!
I can see many possibilities for the carry case.
Many Thanks!

Your wellcome FriarTuck1961
It is a very handy little carry case to have.
And they don't cost a lot to put together.

Thank's Catmover1
It really doe's come in handy for carrying small item's.
And keeping it behind you on your belt loop's prevent's it from geting caught on brush.
Great idea for carrying any small items. I use a 4 inch pvc pipe set up similiar to yours for a small safety kit in my canoe tied under the thwart.
Take care,

Your wellcome ED I'm glad you like it.
If I lived someplace that was warmer. I would just
drill a hole thru the pipe and the end cap
and then keep the pipe closed with a machine screw and a wing nut.
Instead of using the braided elastic.
But this state of Minnesota has crazy cold sub zero winter day's and even colder winter night's. And I camp outside in it
so I know how cold metal can get. And I don't like to take off my gloves even for a min. So I use the cheap braided elastic.
