It does my heart good to see such a tribute to the brave members of our military! I remember the sixties and early seventies, and the shameful way that our returning soldiers were treated by so many people who didn't know the meaning of the words "appreciation' and "compassion"! I am so glad and thankful that our courageous soldiers are now given the honor they deserve!

I kept a New Testment Bible in one of my ammo pouches the whole time I was there. We drove 83,000 miles went into some pretty intense places, and were mortered like it was raining. But no one was hit, we were the only unit in our division who had no wounded. Makes you wonder a little bit.
