  • Who knows the brand of Marcus' Bass?

  • I think it's a fodera.

  • Ok, thanks

  • I think it's a MODULUS

  • You're right, it's a Modulus, a fretless Q6 Quantum six-string bass.

Currently, Marcus has his signature Fender Jazz with 4 and 5 strings. I hope that Fender could make a 6-string version of his namesake '77 Jazz Bass with 4+2 tuners, a convertible locking bridge and a full 2-octave fretboard.

  • I really don't think that Fender could do that! But would be great :D and diferent!

  • Why not? After all, Marcus' favorite bass is his old '77 Jazz, hot-rodded with a Sadowsky preamp and a modified pickguard/control plate.

As for Eric, I prefer to heard him playing acoustic guitar with his old candy red Roland G-505 synth guitar plugged in a VG-88 or VG-99 guitar modeling box instead of his signature Martins.

  • Yeah... Marcus' bass its really amazing... the best jazz bass sound in my oppinion! But Fender usually doesnt make 6 strings basses... They have maded some models... but... i really dont think that they think about a Marcus Miller signature 6 strings... but that really would be great :) Best Regards... Artur (Brazil)

  • You're right!

The only Fender 6-string basses I've seen were the Steve Bailey and Tye Zamora signature models, not to mention a couple of Custom Shop exotic basses specially built for a NAMM trade show in 2003.

The Zamora bass isn't officially mentioned on Fender's website. So the first Fender 6-string bass is the SRB6.

A Marcus Miller 6-string would be very nice, though.

  • he plays his Fender signature most of the time..

  • His fender signature is a fretted bass. (5 or 4 strings) but on this video, it's a fretless one.

The headstock looks like fodera's. But the neck seems be carbon. So I really don't know if it's a fodera or Modulus ...

  • Miller has both Fodera and Modullus fretless bass. However, in this video Marcus is using a modullus

  • Marcus also plays Leduc fretless basses.

IMHO, I'd liked to hear Clapton playing the acoustic guitar parts with his Roland G-505 synth guitar plugged into a VG88 guitar modeling pedal.

  • Does the picture to this keep sticking for everyone else or is it just me? Stop start, stop start! It's driving me mad!

  • This is taken from the "Legends Live in Montreux " dvd, it is a great dvd, with a beautiful "Layla" ..

  • Clapton showing off his jazzier side.

  • Execellent Version. Man . I have got the DVD in many years ago but not this version " Hearts Solos ) between Musicans.
