You people need to go AMFA. You will get a huge pay raise and then loose your jobs. Great union scheme. I lost 30 years as an AMT because of those AMFA idiots. Oh, but I made good money the year before we were all kicked out. Great.
@spider23000 Being a Cabin Crew Member myself, I can answer this one. We will NOT open a door if the engine on that side is still running. There are some procedures in place to prevent this from happening too. (If the engine are still running and the flight crew is incapacitated, one of the Cabin Crew Members will shut down the engines.) So no, that could not happen. We are trained to do our jobs and keep you safe ;-)
5 stars! The DC10's pneumatic emergency mode was so advanced for it's time, and that 3L/R ramp & slide/raft system is truly innovative! I'd like to see that door raised with the manual lift bar as it's obviously quite heavy.

Would there ever be a danger that the engine could still be running a bit or still be too warm, and would damage the slide when it gets deployed?
