bottom line....me and al my boys played fight night since 2004, and none of us bought the new one. were all huge boxing fans, and no really ufc. but were all playing ufc cause of the buttons...if the makers only knew how much money they already lost cause they didnt give the option to change the buttons...

i agree with u man, i HATE total punch control!! i have NO punch control with that shit. they need the button download ASAP! and at 1st i was happy there were no parries...but after getting it, and realising all u need is a quick boxer to just punch uncontrollably, its taken the skill outta the game. Not sure about this one.

It use 2 piss me off when I would counter a guy numerous times with hard body haymakers and it wouldn't do as much damage as a guy gut jabbing me and running or abusing R2. If you can't adapt to the new TPC which is way easier to use than in RD3. Chances R u weren't that good at FNR3. U won because u abused flaws in the game not because u were some master of the sweet science. EA thrive for realism. So thats why the buttons and the work everytime parry system were removed.

No more of Roy Jones running around jabbing Ali in the gut over and over while running and Ali is not fast enough to retaliate. Now Roy Jones will get popped in the face by guys with longer reach before he even gets close and he might never even connect with the jab. Jabs won't really hurt that much period if the boxer isn't known 4 having a killer jab. Jabs use 2 drain your stamina bar a little to much on FNR3 if u where hit by 1 in the stomach.

Or maybe u guys where the 1's that would do the wild blocking thing that would get u a parry opportunity off of what ever punch was thrown.Or maybe yall were the guys that would always go to lightheavyweight and pick jeff lacy immediately then do all the things i mentioned then throw wild unweaveable left right hooks.Fast punches and glitch countering won't win it 4 u in FNR4.U have to use boxer strenghts and reaches 2 win now.

I was a button player too. And the buttons = lame because u can throw haymakers by just holding R2 and throwing a punch now. It would be super gay if u button only guys could throw haymakers that way. So to make it more challenging they removed the buttons. Real boxers don't throw 5 hooks in a row so why would they let u in this game which is a Simulation.

In real boxing your opponent wouldn't let you land 5 hooks in a row. When that happens it usually results to a KO or TKO. If you're wack enough to get 5 pieced then you deserve to lose. Fuck EA for messing up Fight Night!

IF buttons were on there the wild punching would be worst. Guys would throw wild high low left right hooks. Then it would be the same bs all over again from RD3 except this time around your block doesn't always block. Power punchers would KO u everytime without any real strategy. its almost impossible to block all that shit with the way blockings done now. Parry's come from blocking right before the punch lands now not by pressing a special direction to parry every attack to that side.

Uppercuts can still connect even if u block high now. Its more about timing and ryth now more than ever before. Haymakers no longer come out super fast. Everything requires timing now. No more auto pilot . The signature punch can even be held and timed now. No more Ali FNR3 styles signature punches anymore either.

I actually enjoyed the rythm and timing of round three using the buttons. I never mashed. I don't know why people think that just because I like to use the buttons, that it means I can't play with skill. I just like the controls to be precise. I used config 5 in R3, it was sweet, just use the right stick to block without having to press a modifier. You could still throw a haymaker by pressing the RB and using the TPC, and just use buttons for the rest.

I use to use config 5 too chump. I know about the easy blocking and parring that could be done with out even guessing wat punch they were throwing. FNR4 controls are precise you just aren't precise with the TPC. U probably only figured out how to throw 1 haymaker on RD3. U liittle glitching chump. Can't adapt to the new TPC = U suck.

I played the demo and I noticed that you cant slip punches the same way either. I hate this game I really think they messed it up... I've always hated the stick and always will. If I have to take time to learn this game all over again it minus well be another game like UFC. I hate to do it cause I'm a boxing fan.. but what choice do I have? FN4 suuuucks ass!

There are Knock outs in the real game. it rarely goes to decision. I was getting KO's in the demo after i figured out how to play. Just face the fact that u guys aren't that good. After u learn the new punch control you will have more fun. I was doubting the no buttons thing 2 . But the game is actually more realistic without them.

Ea thrive for realism and the button punching wasn't delievering that. I've never seen a real fight play out the way they did in FNR3. Fight Night is supposed to be simulation not arcade style like RD3 was with the work everytime parrys and the reaches of guys not making a difference in the fight. FNR3 was all about speed. If you had a faster puncher u usally won unless the other guy was good at parrying with haymaker uppercuts or hooks.

I've played UFC. There are guys winning with turbo controllers online. Also it doesn't even count when guys quit on U. Also the knock outs happen a little 2 often 4 my liking. U could practice for hours getting good with the grapples and transitions and still lose to a 1st time player that just holds L1 and hits triangle over and over.

it feels too clumsy to me. i always win but it's by decision which should be a rarity. in the demo it's 3 short rounds and waiting for counters seems to take a bit longer and watching the meters unless it's a grand mistake doesnt really mean much at all. i'd say it's less arcadey but that's what bother's me about it especially when my more favorite matches play out nothing like these.

i've gotten use to the tpc. I have to say it is more realistic now. Alot of online guys on FNR3 use to just throw high low left right hooks all day. There was no real boxing involved. Now guys actually have to box and use there strengths instead of throwing crazy unrealistic flurrys of hooks and uppercuts that left u unable to move or block 4 periods of time if u were parried before they started. This change actually has improved FN.

The fighting is the same its just the way you do it is a little different. But i can assure you that alot of the stuff guys won with on FNR3 won't work aginst skilled players on FNR4 that have adapted to the stick.

Tell me what you learned by pressing buttons. Square =Jab Triangle = straight X= left hook circle = right hook Square and X = left upper cut triangle and circle = right uppercut. What about the haymakers did you never learn those. I know your gonna say why learn them when you can win with R2 easier or the jab and run technique.
